I have watched two episodes so far and I am torn. My first impression was that these guys were trying create a poor man's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" only putting the guys in an office instead of a bar.

But there is just enough there that cracks me up I keep watching new episodes. I think my heart doesn't want me to like it but my funny bone is forcing me to like it.

BTW does funny bone sound naughty to anyone else? It sounds like something you would call banging a female stand up comedian. Except you know that would never happen because they are all lesbians. Maybe it is just me.

See, I don't see that.

I see Always Sunny as sort of a Seinfeld kind of thing....they are those people that you want to hate and its just like weird humor and I don't like it. Never was able to get into Always Sunny.

Workaholics I feel like is just dumb humor that you kinda have to pick up on but not really.

they both have their differences.. Sunny is like a blitzkrieg of poo going on (or that's how I always thought of it).. definitely great in it's prime.

workaholics feels more controlled, even though they did dress up as wizards.. more weed than crack. if that makes sense?

probly not...

It's Always Sunny when it is clicking is sort of a snowball effect. Every episode it starts out silly and just snowballs into absolute hilarity by the end of the show.

But I can see what Boo is saying bc the characters in It Always Sunny pretty much are just terrible people. But part of the humor is the fact that they are oblivious to just how terrible they are. All the stupid poo they do makes perfect sense in their minds.

But Charlie, Dee, and Frank (Danny Devito) make every show worth a watch IMO.

Workaholics hasn't had that great episode yet IMO. For me it is right there but there needs to be that episode that completely converts me.

With It's Always Sunny they got me in the "Underage Drinking: A National Concern" episode when they decided they would be doing society a service by letting underage kids drink in their bar and they all end up getting invited to prom (except Mac who decided he would go stag). This was before Danny Devito was even on the show. Great hilarious episode.

I haven't seen last night's episode of Workaholics yet with Chris Parnell but for me they haven't convinced me just yet (I watched 5 episodes on On Demand today). But I am a big Parnell fan so I hope it is the episode.

    • if  ANYONE actually goes & looks at the FACTS on rookie Qb's after 2 full seasons as a starter in the NFL & they are still well below average do they rarely ever actually become top tier Qb's & instead most likely either do not recieve a second contract & or become life long backups...just saying
    • So he became GM and decided not to address the weakness in the QB room following one of the worst rookie QB performances in NFL history?  There were options last season other than signing Dalton to a 2 year deal. Brissett and Jones by a wide margin, both of whom outplayed Bryce, Wilson, Winston, hell even Rivers off the couch was more exciting at the QB position. The time to address the failure in the QB room was last year but instead people on the Huddle cheered when we brought Dalton back then cheered when we were able to get anything for him after they finally realized he was washed up like a few of had been saying all along and got poo'd for even mentioning.  This year, the options were more limited obviously, especially since we lost Icky. It changed the dynamic of our draft. I think we were stuck this year keeping Bryce, but i still think giving him a 5th year option for what has amounted to replacement worthy performance was the wrong move. Why guarantee 25m if you're planning to replace him? You think he's going to want to be a bridge QB? Hell no. He's going to want out and we'll end up cutting him if he has another lackluster season because no one is trading for him with that price tag.  Were there better options as far as production available. A couple. Were there guys available with more physical tools than Bryce, Pickett or Grier, you damn well better believe there were. I've been saying all along, you always keep looking for your 1b. Bryce has yet to prove he can be a starter. Keep looking for someone who may. Put competition in camp. Let the best QB lead the team. Stop settling for less than mediocre.
