I hadn't read anything much at all since high school book-wise, and picked AGOT-AFFC up in a set after catching the pilot episode of the show while at a hotel (and based on this thread I think)... I had all 4 books read well in time for ADWD to come out... so April 2011-July 2011

I couldn't put them down... lol

I will just echo what everyone else said.  I got the books right after the first season (I was only going to read book 1 so not to spoil season 2... didn't happen) and finished all 5 books within 4 months.  After I got through the first book I could not stop reading it.

There were a couple of times during crazy parts that had me going "HOLY POO" that I couldn't put the book down until like 4:00AM and then was so revved up I just did not sleep.

The books are addictive.  I am not an avid fiction reader and often times will set books down for several days or weeks before picking them back up.  But these books I just plowed through.  The first half of book 1 is a little slow, but after that you are hooked (i.e. Ned Stark's arrest and eventual beheading)

Damn u must read non stop...

I read when I wasn't at work or the gym

I have always read fast. It's technically more like skimming i guess, in between the good parts. Probably why I can re-read a book a couple times and not die from boredom. Plus, all of my classes are online this semester so with that and the weather I have been a shut-in. My schedule is all out of whack.

All your classes are online? What are you, a UNC athlete?
