yeah you're going to be waiting another 4 seasons

people (who hadn't read the series of books) didn't get hooked until the 4th episode, when tyrion got captured.

after that it was all downhill.

the rest of the books follow the same formula, steady pacing and development until just one event sends everything into a tailspin

that's no real spoiler imo, especially since the boltons haven't even been introduced yet

IMO, the main charachters, in order of screen time, would be

1. Jon Snow

2. Dany Targaryan

3 Bran Stark (he becomes really important later in the series)

4. Tyrion Lannister

5. Arya Stark

Of course there are a lot of other characters with major roles too, but I think that these are the 5 main storylines.

I'd go

1. Snow

2. Tyrion

3. Bran

4. Theon

5. Arya

Yeah, the first few episodes this year have been slow, but that's expected. As long as they keep on showing Margaery Tyrell nekkid or not, I'll be just fine.
