Judge Nelson rules in favor of the players (lockout lifted...at the moment)

You're still on the wrong side....wake up and recognize the owners took us all on this poo boat ride.....

I told you months ago that this was what was going to happen....no federal court is going to allow the owners to damage a $9 billion dollar industry.....not going to happen.

No I am not on the wrong side. how are the owners damaging the system? They aren't. If the players get their way it will destroy football as we know it and I for one will stick with HS and college as soon as they get their way.

The system wasn't working, the players are EMPLOYEES, not partners and they need to wake up to that fact. The NFLPA screwed unions nationwide with their decertification instead of staying a union and collectively bargaining. But they don't care. We have a bunch of spoiled punk asses running around trying to 'get theirs' and fug everyone else, including the game in and of its self!

Pertinent quotes:

"The lockout is enjoined." - Judge Susan Nelson

"What the he!! does 'enjoined' mean?" - Fifty Million Football Fans :sosp:

NFLN's Legal analyst was just on saying the NFL is working on filing immediately as they should. The ruling could take a month so no one is going anywhere.

They can't allow player movement, no way in hell. What if they allow movement and then the appeals court rules for the owners and the lockout should have been in place? None of the players should have or would have been moved so now what? You can't undo contracts or move players back.

The judge is a fuging moron

You sir are the moron.....

google anti-trust laws and do some research.....the NFL owners are learning the lesson the hard way.....the old CBA will fall back into effect until the anti-trust lawsuit takes place next year sometime....so in essence...the players and the judge have allowed football for 2011....

all you need to do is say thank you.

Man bro chill out. Does it matter how this all comes down at the end. No it doesn't. I could careless which side is at fault at this point. I just want to have NFL this season. I think bothside have been way outline on the CBA talks. Bottomline I glad something was done to stop out this lockout for Temp for right now.

Basically the owners have no bargaining power now; they will either be forced to deal or accept wild west nfl..if they get the appeal you can probably kiss negotiations going very well goodbye..the players won't budge when the government is backing them. sure we may get football..it just may not be the way we are used to getting it.

    • Jake in his prime was a gutsy QB. But just like with even someone like Cam. Father time is undefeated. It's very unfortunate we have a guy who is only 24 years old that has an equivalent arm to that. Absolutely blows my mind that our brain trust lacked the basic common sense to value arm talent when making a massive trade with ramifications for years to come. Unforgivable incompetence.
    • Jake, to me, will always hold a special place in my heart.  I really feel like for his era, he deserved way more love than he got, and should’ve had more than his one Pro Bowl.  He was a gamer with an underrated rocket arm. but let me tell you, after his Tommy John surgery, when he came back, I can’t remember who it was against, but it think it was a division game, he threw a ball that was supposed to be a throw away, as I think he was under pressure, and that poo floated forever and died right at the boundary where a defender ran over and picked it off.  One of the worst throws I ever saw.  His arm just wasn’t the same after the injury and surgery.  All that to say, that’s what almost every Bryce throw to the sidelines looks like to me.
    • And again, when watching him in college he had one distinct trait that I feel makes a franchise QB - on those plays when everything breaks down around him, he creates one on his own.  He doesn’t rely on or need everyone else.  That play last night on the final drive where he was getting sacked and threw it to Diggs before his knee hit the ground?  He does similar things all the time.  Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, etc., they all do it.  It’s what made Cam so special. but we picked a guy that’s the opposite of that.  He desperately needs someone else to make a play for him because he can’t.  Even that play yesterday on 4th down to Horn.  That wasn’t a great pass.  The defender was late and came down to make a play in the ball and Bryce threw it high and outside where Horn had to leave his feet and really use strong hands to catch it.  We relied on a 5’9” rookie playing in his first pro game to make THAT catch at THAT time bc of the early turnovers and a not great throw.  Crazy.
