If you're not excited about Panther football at this point then you are either dead or you really have no clue! I know Cam is going to make mistakes.. hell he wouldn't be human if he didn't...... anyway, this guy is explosive and a natural born leader. I can't wait for the season to start.

FWIW, for obvious reasons other than a piss poor record, I never want to have a top pick again for this very reason. They are here because of Cam and Cam only. Ugh, I'm sure they love the Panthers... yeah right.

yea the worst thing about having cam is having those same Vick type fans that supposedly supported the Falcons for a few years

Sir Cameron Newton: Leader of Men, Lover of Puppies...Esquire is still the best. You can change it to Scrub Newton in about 2 years though. Kid is going to be a huge bust. Not a Leaf/Russell type of bust, but a bust nevertheless. You have my sympathies Panther fans.

Yeah, I guess karma is hell because used to mock the poo out of those Falcons 'fans'. They all had #7 jerseys on and couldn't name anyone else on the team except a few skill players and Vick. "Good tackle #92." I had to tell them some of players on the Falcons roster. :rofl:

Yeah, like it's infinitely worse than Ponder at #12, or even Fairley on a team with glaring LB and CB issues. Or how bout dem Falcons getting fleeced for a WR? I could hardly feel bad about Cam Newton at 1 given our needs.

      It’ll be interesting to see how the board falls I completely agree with you on TE for us The safety from Oregon would be the cherry on top for Evero’s defense/scheme.  If a OL’men is there that you love it would be very hard to pass up. This fan base seems to just see Walker as a stop gap but I wouldn’t be so sure. He’s the same age as Ekwonu. He’s had a much more impressive career arc/progression than Icky has. He’s the better pass protector. As far as I see it if Walker has a good year I’d bring him back over Icky. Ekwonu isn’t some elite franchise LT. Playing next to Lewis is going to be great for Walker much like it has been for Icky. We definitely need to get younger/cheaper on the OL though so for this reason alone it’s still top of my list come round 1 if board falls this way  Could also use another corner with Mike Jackson’s deal up after this season and needing a nickel but Corey Thornton looked really good in that role in the limited time we got to see him. However he’s coming off an achillies injury and you never know with those.  Then as mentioned above we do still have a need at WR. As far as “weapons” go it’s kind of a 2 man show with Tmac and Coker and neither is a burner. If Jordan Tyson is there at 19 and we can have a young WR group locked up for cheap that’s a huge advantage cap wise  And don’t forget linebacker. That clip in Devin’s Lloyd blueprint they used from Evero saying they need more intelligence there could’ve been left out for Wallace’s sake but it’s true. Wallace is lost in coverage. Pair a smart linebacker with Lloyd and that’s a group with Wallace and Cherelus being depth
