Hey Boo (Kidney Stones)

My parents neighbor (who I think is part of the Czech Mob) was drinking beers with my old man and I a week or so ago. During our conversation he mentioned Pilsner Urquell is what people drink to rid themselves of kidney stones. He says you drink a couple and you'll pee sand.

For starters it’s brewed in the town of Plzen over in the Czech Republic. We’ll give you three guesses what they invented there. Because of it’s water source, Pilsner Urquell has been used throughout Europe by many people to help dissolve kidney stones and gall stones.]

wow, thanks Panthro. Sounds like a good idea. At this point, its been 7 days, so I'm pretty much willing to try anything. Plus, I like a good beer. I wonder if I can find it anywhere?

I heard from my mom's friend who gets them that pineapple juice helps a lot too.

So does moving around, jogging, sex, running, jumping, sex, anything else you can think of where you are constantly moving.

The only thing is, when it does move, it hurts like a motherfuger. Didn't come into work yesterday b/c I made the mistake of not taking pain killers for like 15 hours and letting the pain catch up with me. Bad idea.

Lady at the ER on Thursday when I went said the pain is worse than childbirth. Never saw her dad cry his whole life until he had a stone.

I've had quite few already in my life. Not a fun thing to go through. Drugs help. Beer also will make you pee a lot. Which is good.

The beer might be an old wives tale but I'd try it anyway.

Yep, the drugs have been the only thing to keep me from going crazy. Im almost out though so Im going to need to hit up a urologist or someone for more because there is no way Im letting this happen without pain killers. I might pass out or puke again.

Willing to try anything. Will see if I can't go get some of that tonight.

My doctor told me a beer a day helps relieve the stones. I got them for the first time in April of '10 and thought I was going to die.

Grapefruit juice and a beer relieves them.

No spinach or any other foods high in oxylates.

    • TBH, these are the kind of players that get weeded out of professional sports pretty quickly. Also, CMC is not that guy. There is zero indication that he isn't competitive.
    • I like the free agency. It actually helps basically all schools across the board. Pretty much only ancient HC's and/or HC's that haven't been able to adjust have been complaining about the free agency. Your fortunes can be made or broken every offseason. It's not like before where a bad recruiting class or two meant multiyear purgatory.  I will never understand all the bellyaching about the NIL. If you want to talk about what ruined college athletics, it has been naked greed. Conference expansions for TV revenue, ever skyrocketing AD and facilities costs and now the attempts to permanently ruin the postseasons(football and basketball).  All the kids did was get a very well deserved piece of a very, very, VERY broken pie.
    • Nobody is saying they don't count against the cap, because yes, they technically do count against the cap as it's money the team is paying and it needs to be accounted for. But what you're not grasping it seems is that if a player gets $10 million guaranteed in their contract, whether they get literally $0 as a signing bonus or $8 million as a signing bonus, it doesn't change the overall cap hit of the contract, because cap hits are about the guaranteed money, not how much is paid up front. The only thing that how much is paid up front changes, is how the cap hit can be spread out amongst the years. So yes, technically there could end up being a slightly bigger cap hit in year 3 and 4 due to a bigger signing bonus, but if that is the case, it also means there will be a lesser cap hit in years 1 and 2 than there would have been with a smaller bonus.  But over the length of the contract, the size of the signing bonus has literally zero affect on the overall cap hit of the contract, because THAT part of it is 100% about the guaranteed money and nothing else.
