First time I ever used a coupon at a restaurant

for every time you act like that to a server you earn 10 bad experiences from future servers. Just be patient, it's going to take some time for karma to balance itself out based on your past actions.

what way, what actions?

piggybacking off the chain restaurant thread, how much are you expected to tip wait staff at a buffet style restaurant? No offense to anyone but all they do there is fill the tea glass once or twice. You get your own clean plates and food. I don't feel as if I should tip as much at these places as compared to places I actually get waited on.

I just do a dollar a person for a buffet. WHY?

1. They don't bring you any food.

2. They may or may not refill your glass since usually I find at buffets the glasses are huge.

3. Some places you pay upfront before you eat like Golden corral, some places you pay at the counter afterwards, meaning your server has to come by to give you your check.

I don't count them taking dirty dishes in the tip, because I could care less if they take them or not. I usually sit at a decent size booth or table, so I have enough room to keep the dirty dishes stacked and it doesn't bother me a bit. To me, service is something you benefit from, taking my dirty plates I don't benefit from them doing that in my eyes.

Now at cheap buffets like at CiCi's pizza, I don't tip at all since YOU have to do EVERY SINGLE THING with getting your drinks, you have to order at the counter and pay at the counter, refill your drinks yourself. The only thing they do is take your dirty plates, which as I said, I don't view that as any service in my eyes.

I have waited tables before and treat all my servers like gold, even when things go wrong, because I know how tough the job is.

While the job IS VERY HARD, I am having more servers time and time again at even different restaurants out of state out of town, etc. or restaurants we have never been to before even, servers that just don't try their best. I am finding more and more servers being very lazy. Things such as one waiter once we had that we had only got an appetizer and some drinks as a snack type of outing in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. The waiter didn't write it down and I only added a side of ranch even. He comes with a tray with food(it's not busy keep this in mind), he hands us a side of beans and a side of rice when we ordered quesadillas. When he handed us our real order from the tray, he forgot the ranch(OF COURSE). See, he was too lazy to write it down. He was too lazy to compare the ticket since he didn't write it down. He was too lazy to compare which table had which items. I am finding more and more stupid, lazy ass servers like that. THAT is the type of servers I hate, despised, loathe. Whatever happened to hard working people? I know they do have some out there, because we have had many, but WHY are these type of lazy people exists? They only make $2.13/hr, you would THINK it would be some type of INCENTIVE? It seems a lot of servers like that feel they are ENTITLED to that tip no matter HOW they treat you or how lazy they get.

In one year how many times have you eaten at a restaurant springs?

Probably around 115 or so. This is twice on each weekend at least, also counting holidays if we go out to eat such as we usually eat out on labor day. So I basically though to myself 52 weeks in a year TIMES 2 which is 104 and then add a bit more for extra times we may have gone out. I have to count our vacation we went on too this year that we went to a bunch of restaurants then as well, even counting ones where I just got a couple of drinks.

A few years ago, we went out even more like an extra day even.

    • Canales is in the middle of the most critical point of his Panthers tenure: The 2nd half of the 2nd season. Looking back here is how the other head coaches performed to this point and how their time here pivoted. Dom Capers First 26 Games: 13-13 2nd Half of 2nd Season: (1996) won final 7 games to win division, took Panthers to NFC Championship Game. Final Record/Accomplishments: 30-34; NFC West Division Title-1996 George Seifert First 26 Games: 12-14 2nd Half of 2nd Season: (2000) Finished 3-3 with mixed results in games; finished 1-15 the following season. Final Record/Accomplishments: 16-32; None. John Fox First 26 Games: 15-11 2nd Half of 2nd Season: (2003) corrected the season after a strong start and mid-year stumble to win division, Won NFC Championship Game. Final Record/Accomplishments: 73-71; (1) Conference Championship; (3) Playoff Appearances; (2) Division Titles. Ron Rivera First 26 Games: 8-18 2nd Half of 2nd Season: (2012) Won 5/6 remaining games; finished 12-4 following season and won division. Final Record/Accomplishments: 76-63-1; (1) Conference Championship; (4) Playoff Appearances; (3) Division Titles; (2) COY Awards Matt Rhule First 26 Games: 10-16 2nd Half of 2nd Season: (2021) Lost final 7 games in a row, terminated 5 games into following season. Final Record/Accomplishments: 11-27; None. Dave Canales First 26 Games: 10-16 2nd Half of 2nd Season: TBD Final Record/Accomplishments: TBD The writing was on the wall at the end of Rhule and Seifert’s 2nd season, while Capers, Fox, and Rivera all finished strong and rallied. To be fair, Capers 1997 and 1998 seasons weren’t great, but he was faced with adversity and still managed to leave with at least one successful season...thanks to the second half of his 2nd season.
    • There are always a few head scratcher calls a game on us.  That was bshit
    • Honestly unless the Packers WR in the end zone was disqualified from tackling, he was literally right behind him ready to tackle him at the 5 yard line. Probably better he dropped it field position wise unless people think Mike Jack has Ted Ginn speed or something.
