What's Your Mouth Like?

Do you cuss often? How often? How many times a day would you say?

Do you tend to drop the f-bomb or keep it a little more confined?

Do you cuss in front of your kids/wife/friends other people or keep it under your breath?

Do you think a dirty mouth makes someone less attractive?

Do you have a favorite curse word or one you prefer to use more often? Something that you use when you are mad to give more emphasis?

Do you cuss often? yes How often? depends on who I am around How many times a day would you say? at least 50

Do you tend to drop the f-bomb or keep it a little more confined? no holds barred

Do you cuss in front of your kids/wife/friends other people or keep it under your breath? only people I don't cuss around are my mom, dad, grandparents, and other close family, excluding my wife

Do you think a dirty mouth makes someone less attractive? not really... if that is all that comes out of their mouth, it just makes me think they lack the vocabulary to express themselves intelligently

Do you have a favorite curse word or one you prefer to use more often? Something that you use when you are mad to give more emphasis? meh, all the same... I probably use "fuging bitch" more than any combo, and that one is primarily directed at other drivers or my wife if she pisses me off (although I usually keep that one under my breath out of a desire to keep things from escalating, lol)

Worked construction for many, many years and i cuss pretty often.

****sucker is my go to word when i'm really mad. When i start throwing that word around i'm ready to fight.

Gd and f**k are my most used words oh and Jesus F**king Christ, i use that a ton.

But i hate it when women cuss, unless its while we're f**king..

-Depends on the day, my mood and who I'm around. Oh and what words you define as curse words.

-I don't curse at work, I only mistakenly curse in front of my child though that likely depends on what you define as a curse word. I don't curse in front of my parents because it would offend them however I do in front of my friends and husband.

-Cursing too much sounds ignorant and to me ignorance isn't an attractive quality.

-Nope

I don't think their are "bad" words just inappropriate situations. I have more of a problem with the attitude behind words then the actual words themselves. For instance I don't teach my kid that "stupid" is a bad word. However I do tell him to not call someone stupid or say it in a hateful way. He hears the words "hell, damn and ass" every so often. I warn him if he says them in certain environments like school or grandmas house he will likely get in trouble. However I have no problem with those words unless they are in bad context like name calling or what not.

My wife is nutso about our boys hearing curse words... I've just taught them to ignore them. I've asked her what she expects, for them to never hear curse words in life, because I know they both hear them all the time at school. Her deal is that we shouldn't let them watch movies and stuff with those words because "we shouldn't approve of that..." Pretty sure I've made it clear that I don't approve of it... but there's no arguing with her...

She's gonna shelter them to the point that they go nuts when they are older, can't say I haven't warned her...

I'm still hoping my son's first word is "motherfuger"...

I'm not going to discourage him from saying what he wants to say... Show me somewhere defining words as "bad"...

I will make him understand that some people find parts of speech offensive, and to save himself some trouble it is just best to watch his mouth...

My mom did the same thing. Trying to shelter us and not let us say words like shutup. Didn't do very much good. I remember my brother had the worst mouth of the whole 5th grade, people used to say stuff to me about it.

Basically, the first curse words I learned came from my dad's mouth :)

My parents made it clear that cursing wasn't acceptable and never cursed in front of me, but they were fairly lenient about movies and such... and hey, I turned out OK... :D

Now my dad says sh*t like 50 times a day... he's getting a bit crochety in his old age...

    • I am no football savant as has been demonstrated here over and over, but I saw it.  I went for years doing the mock draft thing and researching the players that we might get around our pick, time consuming stuff. And we would get to the draft and trade the pick. All that time, wasted.  So I quit doing that. Also realized I was not a scout and would never be a scout and went to looking the videos and reports After  we picked a guy.  Maybe I would look at the 1st round, but quit that too and just looked after we picked.    When they did that trade I saw Bryce and his size and just ruled him out. Then it got to yeah they are probably going to take him, I relented and looked at some video and got to his pro day. It took me all of a few minutes to see the issues. The footwork. The arm. And the tape of games? The backyard style. I knew, what can I say?  (Also, went down the physical checklist, not a single plus attribute on the NFL level. Arm, speed, size, etc, nothing to offset the negatives. nothing)  I think it was easy for me because I had not watched a single game he played in college, and wasn’t drawn in by the hype. Had no preconceived notions and just looked at it pretty clinically.  I got in here and everyone was going “but look at what he did in college! It is the SEC, if he can do it in the SEC he can do it in the NFL!” Couldn’t reason with hardly anyone.  I don’t think I could tell you which guy would succeed between two prototypical guys with great arms and athleticism, and have no special insight into any of that. My one calling in football scouting was to see the real about what we were about to do. And you still don’t know for sure until they get in a real game in the NFL.
    • Miss Bryce sorely is possibly the most hilarious statement I have read on the Huddle in quite some time.
    • He did only throw 1 pass 20+ in that game. I think he is still struggling to adjust to the NFL. At Alabama he was able to extend plays and play backyard football. That's not only not the style of offense we have been running but his physical skills don't lend themselves to that style of play at this level.  So, the amount of issues he actually has to clean up are WAAAAAY more than I anticipated as a guy that had Bryce #1 on my board in that draft class.  I am just not seeing a reasonable path for him to clean it all up and develop in a reasonable timeframe
