Top 100 Players Of 2011 - Panthers Video Thread

Pretty lame list IMO. But ive taken the time to find and upload the vids of all the Panthers, in case you've missed. More to come maybe? Only ones i possibly see having a chance are williams/stew/smitty/gamble.

#95 Jon Beason:

#87 Jordan Gross:

As i said...pretty lame list. IMO Beason should be ahead of Gross, and why tony romo is at 72, a fullback is at 65 (30 spots higher than beason), and Jerdo Mayo is way, way ahead of Beason, i'll never know. But it is what it is. If any more Panthers appear, ill be sure to post it again on this thread.

that list is bullpoo with beason all the way down at 95. anyone that even knows a damn about football would see that as a HUGE mistake.

I would love to hear the criteria that the majority of the players use for this vote. I know everybody would have something a little different, but there's gotta be some explanation for Beason at 95

when you're picking the top 100 players out 2000ish players by the time you're up to that level it's just splitting hairs. I doubt the players went through some kind of serious panel and discussed this.

I think Beason is a top 5 middle linebacker but I don't really care where they rank him in that top 5. Nobody will ever be satisfied.

eric berry is pretty crazy though lol. I can understand rookies like Bradford or Suh but Berry needs more seasons unless he comes in and blows the nfl up. Suh and Bradford had instant success at positions rookies aren't usually instantly successful at.

This list is a waste of time. I know that there isn't much to report on given that the nfl and the nflpa are comparing genital sizes, but this is dumb. Just like one poster said its all a popularity contest between the players. If you are not on ESPN more than twice a week, you are not high on this list... it is sad. These guys who vote must deficate into a paper bag and inhale the fumes because this list is utter poop fumes.

This is called the top players of 2011 not the past five years. Why is Romo even on this list he didnt play a full season, and Mcnab's numbers were mediocre at best. The fact that those two are on there and Beason is an 95 is a disgrace. Now, im not going to sit here and say "every Panther should be on that list", but Gross and Beason should be a higher. Also, sine this list is based off of last years performance, Charles Johnson better be in the top 30. I don't think that is biased at all, he clearly was one of the DE's last year. He played a heck of a lot better than Jared Allen.

This list is clown shoes and so are the players that voted for this (excluding Panther players.)

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.
    • Start posting in threads in the other forums instead of just creating threads. No one comes over here so you aren't starting conversations.  Get your ass up to 100 posts. It's not that hard. Don't create 100 posts. Contribute to conversations.
    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
