NFL coaches file brief to support players

An Amicus Brief exactly like that has been filed. For some reason I'm not surprised it hasn't turned up on this forum.

Sadly, while googling for it, I stumbled upon this thread on saints report, and holy hell you people are dumber than statistically the dumbest state with an nfl team. People there can read, and spell, and use grammar. They can cite why they think things instead of just pulling poo out of their ass. This allows people to effectively argue with them.

You hicks are worse than Saints fans. And Highlandfire isn't even here yet.

Bottomline both the coaches and players are now getting sick of the owners BS. The players just want the same CBA they had for years now and the owners refuse to do it. Owners seem to be the ones causing most of the problems right now. But bottomline bothsides have gone to far and they need to stop acting like a bunch of whining bitch ass kids and go back to the table. All this fighting ain't getting neither group a big edge over each other to be honest.

Absolutely that the players want the same CBA they have had for several years. That CBA was agregiously in favor of the players and the owners signed it ONLY to keep football going.

The players wanting 50%+ of all future revenue (before operating expenses) is ridiculous.

The players never intended to negotiate a new deal. They were never acting in good faith and are likely to get bitch slapped by the courts.

The owners have made two offers (the last of which is a GREAT starting point). What do the players do? Do they send a counter proposal? No, they sling insults and don't even respond.

Owners are trying to to get this resolved...the players just want to litigate.

That really is a main point here. The players were not negotiating in good faith. As I read it, they were sitting at the table with the owners team supposedly considering the owner's last proposal while unknown to the owners, they had earlier filed the antitrust legislation and the paperwork to decertify. The negotiations were a sham process so that the players could avoid repercussions about "not negotiating in good faith". But that is exactly what they have done and continue to do pending the circuit court appeal. Even then I wonder if they lose, if they will appeal that decision as well. For a party that will be irreparably damaged if there is no football, they don't seem in any hurry to get a deal done.

    • Lol. The Texans are literally one of Bryce's six career NFL wins. WTF are you talking about?
    • Yeah, I mean it is a statistical fact and also part of literally a player evaluation. Winston has literally lost dozens of games in his NFL career due to crippling TO's. It's just who he is. Look, it's fun when those insane throws work and he is leading you back from some crazy deficit. But those success are rare. It's why his career GWD count is so low. He's fun but he is fundamentally built to lose games.  If you are talking about a backup QB, you are literally already losing in the first place. That's how you see a backup QB and that's overwhelmingly what they tend to do. Rookie QB's almost always benefit from veteran QB's. Same as literally any other position in the NFL. Why do you think that you so often hear that from the playera themselves? As for Bryce NEEDING one, no he sure as poo shouldn't this late in the game. But he also shouldn't have needed this fuging long to get his fuging footwork straightened out either. Yet here we are.
    • Comfortability is the primary reason. They don't want to hurt Bryce's confidence. But I say if his confidence is that fragile that healthy competition which makes everyone better is enough for them to keep making Andy Dalton rich then Bryce was never going to be the guy anyway. Give me the QB who sees the competition amongst his peers and uses it to take it to the next level. Instead we get the guy who comes out looking like a deer in the headlights against the Texans after we've done everything possible to appease him. Definition of complacency.
