Do you really think he would last there? NFL Execs have longer and better memories than most fans, and he was considered a decent developmental prospect. Certainly a better one than several undrafted guys who shall remain nameless...

It wouldn't surprise me if they bail on the vet, unless they can get a good one. If they do, then they may actually carry four QBs until one comes down with a season-ending hangnail or something.

Unfortunately for Pike, he received the biggest zero confidence vote possibly bestowed upon a QB last year when they brought in Null after Clausen's concussion. Not only was it a damning assessment of Pike's abilities, but the call was made relatively early in the week if I recall. It wasn't like it was an eleventh hour call that could have gone either way...
