I'm leaning that way too...... BUT, the Patriots just might, they cleared a lot of space by shipping Cassel out and have the extra second round pics to pull it off.

the patriots are notorious for bargain shopping and getting the best out of players.

peppers is not going to sign with the patriots because new england isn't going to pay out the yang for him.

I don't disagree with you, but they have a need, the necessary cap space and compensation to do it if they want. I don't expect it, but I won't be shocked if it happens.

      I thought he was from watching him play and also doing his first HC job. I thought he was the real deal  Apparently what happened is Kraft committed to Mayo and I don’t remember the timeline exactly - but Vrabel was unemployed at the same time Belichick was unemployed. They both were fired (or out) after the 2023 season.  Kraft hired Mayo. Who was kind of an obvious disaster. He probably already had the deal in place but I will give Kraft credit for not sleeping. With Vrabel out there for 2025 he made the move he needed to make and if it hurt Mayo’s feelings then oh well.  I guess you can tell I am not fond of Kraft but that was a really savvy move. At his age, pretty good. Still has it.
