The concept just seems really soft compared to Breaking Bad.

1st season of weeds was good, its certainly not breaking bad. It has its own quirky, enjoyable qualities tough.

growing weed in california suburbs just doesn't seem that captivating or even mildly dangerous

manufacturing meth in the middle of a violent drug war that spans 2 countries however...

you cant use Weeds and Breaking Bad in the same sentence, they are not comparable. Two completely different types of shows...the only thing they have in common is they center around the drugs.

yeah. breaking bad also has its share of goofy comedy and dark twists.

i'm kind of irritated that nobody has clarified whether ted died or not

Dang what an ep! is gus spiderman now or something?? that was just bad writing right there.. you can't seriously tell me gus just decided right before getting to the car that he thinks something is wrong without any reason.. he doesn't fear walter white and the cartel was already taken out.. so what in the world would make him do that I wonder?

I see it as, Gus is the big dog on campus now. Between cartel left overs, and walt now being in a VERY desperate situation, and desperate people with money, and Walts intelligence, can be a deadly combination. Gus knows what Walts capable of (Gale) when pushed against a wall.

If it's between Walt dying or surviving, he will do ANYTHING to survive. So what now, hes walking up a parking deck, his cars all alone, he and 2 men are walking up this ramp, Gus KNOWS Jesse didnt kill Walt because he didnt say anything, he knows now that Jesse probably figured out it was Gus that poisioned the kid, Jesse made it known that he wanted to see Gus himself in person.....Gus isn't stupid. He had a feeling. And you don't survive as long as you do in that line of work, without being cautious.

Yeah it still doesn't make sense why gus would walk to the car.. and walk over to the railing where he could have been sniped.. I dunno if it's to show gus isn't afraid of anything or just lazy writing.. if gus was a smart cautious man he would call for a car and just leave.

Considering he knew it was Jesse/Walt connection, he knows Walt is no marks-man sniper. Remember when he walked out as the guy was shooting at him? Just walked towards the bullets? Gus wants Walt to KNOW he doesnt care, and that he is the boss. imo. Thats what I got out of it.

This was answered in the same episode it happened. The big black guy basically confirmed it when he told Saul it was an act of God.
