Although that is just a temporary fix. Talk to somebody about what's bugging you and maybe it isn't that big of a thing to bring you down.

Whenever I feel myself slipping into a bad mood I do some/all of the following:

Find the focus of my ill mood and remind myself that I never gave that person/object permission to tell me how I was going to feel.

Remind myself that if this is my last day on earth Ill be damned if I'm going to spend it in a fuged up mood.

Focus on the good things I do have, wife, daughter, health, my dog, etc.

Remind myself that worrying about things I cant control is inherently self destructive.

Repeat the following:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,

Courage to change the things I can,

And wisdom to know the difference.

All those are great points to remember, especially if it's my last day on earth one. I'm very familliar with that prayer, in fact I've been using it a lot.

I was really kiddin' about the drink part. I don't drink much to begin with and I'm not one for drowning my sorrow in it. I typically like to feel my feelings. I have talked to a couple of people and have also prayed about it consistently. The only thing I can do is keep on doing my part to correct my wrong doings in the situation because all I can control is me.

You all now may proceed with cheering me up now with funny crap.
