Bobcats 2011-12 Schedule Released

Who knows if how much of a season we'll have but the NBA has released the schedules for the upcoming season. It doesn't take long for us to face Stephen Jackson as we play them in our home opener.

The schedule also features several marquee home matchups including the defending NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks on Friday, March 23 and the defending Eastern Conference Champion Miami Heat on Wednesday, Dec. 28 and Friday, March 30. The Boston Celtics will visit the Queen City on Saturday Jan. 14 and Sunday, April 15, while the L.A. Lakers and Chicago Bulls make their lone trips to Charlotte on Friday, Dec. 9 and Friday, Jan. 13, respectively. The New York Knicks come to Time Warner Cable Arena on Tuesday, Jan. 24 and Wednesday, Feb. 22.

      I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. If you drop back like that in the NFL on a regular basis you're basically on your own. Your OL can't do a whole lot for you. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of generating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.

      Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.

      Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
