I just found a container of worms in the fridge. WTF? My daughter must have put them in there after fishing. We keep mealworms in there for our sugar glider, so she must have thought fishing worms went in there, too. lol

They do belong in the fridge, they'll last longer. Just put something in there for them to munch on occasionally & some water and they will last forever.

I have read if you add dirt to your garden plants that has worm castings in it the plants grow 175% (I don't know how they got that %) better with out the use of fertilizer. It's a way for me to recycle my kitchen scraps (No meat or fat) into something I can use. Not to mention I'll always have free fishing worms.

So, only veggies then, and mostly raw ones?

You can use cooked ones too but if you put any meat or fat in with the cooking then dont use those. You can also use bread, eggshells, coffee grounds, paper, cardboard, yard clippings, leaves... Pretty much anything you'd put in a traditional compost heap, except this is on a much smaller scale.
