Fans will be fans. What can you do? Scream at them to stop?

Jimmy can shut them the fug up by playing his ass off this season. That's the only solution.

He is a young guy in a tough situation. I don't want any player coddled, but booing individual players on your team is classless.

He has handled this situation very well. The least we can do is support him.

I 100% agree. The point I was trying to get across is that not much can be done to stop the heckling. His teammates criticizing it on twitter is a step in the right direction.

Here's Sutton's twitter feed from earlier, including a fan comment:

Preciate those tht came out to fan fest

AllOfASutton22 tyrell sutton

But wht I dnt appreciate is those ppl who booed Jimmy constantly 4 no reason. Some who cheered 4 him last yr r now booing him n thts not ok

AllOfASutton22 tyrell sutton

And to make matters worse it was fans screaming at Jimmy when he made a smart play by throwing the ball away instead of forcing a throw

mattyb001 Matt Barry

@AllOfASutton22 When people boo Jimmy its because all they see is the guy who went 2-14. Cam = Hope.

@mattyb001 I dnt care wht the reason may be. Show support, even if it is fake. Dnt show up to support everyone EXCEPT one guy

The most ridiculous Cam Nut Hugging fan was sitting about 3 rows in front of us today.

He was booing Jimmy the entire time he was out there. Yelling for Rivera to sit him down.

Every time Cam made a nice play he was yelling as loud as he could to Jimmy...."That's how it's done loser".

He showed how completely fuging stupid he was on one play. It was the 11 on 11 series where Cam threw the pass into the back of the RB's helmet. He started yelling "Jimmy you suck...coach get him out of there". His buddy sitting next to him proceeded to tell him it was Cam that made the throw.

He immediately screamed "My Bad....that's OK Cam....everyone has a bad play every now and then".

God what a tool.

I think we was sitting in the same area, because I know exact what guy you're talking about, and yeah he was pretty obnoxious.

You would have even been embarassed by this guy. He was a complete idiot.

but back to topic....Cam really impressed me today. If he continues to work hard, I think he will be very good.

I am hoping that he turns out like a Culpepper....before we shredded his knee.

We were in the lower level....about on the 35 yard line (shaded side).

Even my son was laughing at him.

Dude was a big cat though.

Should have threw something towards him, and kept on doing it. If he had said something could have made a witty remark about something. I probably would have started an argument personally, and would have point out all of Cam's mistakes. I'ma bad person something though, so... =D

Not at this dude...he looked like he probably played with Cam at Auburn. Was a big dude.

He would have beaten me into a small grease spot on the concrete.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
