Looking for a good FM transmitter for my ipod.

Some help would be nice.

Not looking to break the bank, but something that isn't going to have a ton of interference or distortion.

Any Suggestions.

Radio Shack, Best Buy, Wal Mart. Should be able to get one for less than 30 bux.

In the past, they were really nice because they operated at the ends of the spectrum.

Nowadays, that's where the Ranchero music stations are (at least in my area) and they pump the signal up so much that even going from the interior to the antenna, the FM transmitter gets stepped on.

I have found that if you remove your cars antenna, it helps the reception from the FM modulator.

First thought. Aren't you driving a Denali? Doesn't it have an aux input on the radio. Those cables are 10 and less.

If you happen to have a cd/tape deck tuner like my truck then another option is a cassette adapter. I got one for around 5 bucks shipped off amazon.

another thing. Also, like PanthaSan says, FM transmission can be fickle. I had sirius for a while, and was constantly looking for clear stations to listen with. Hard wire is the way to go if you can do it. I just realized this could be for the boat.

i have one i bought at the apple store a couple years ago. It's made by monster and cost $80 new, i would sell it for $20 if you want it. It charges your ipod while it plays. My phone has bluetooth now so its uneccessary

they must have. My silverado is 04. My friend's 07 has aux. I've been thinking of upgrading my tuner from a wrecked truck.

MamaSan's 06 Yukon doesn't but my 09 Silverado does. But hers has the 6 disc changer so I am not too motivated towards tearing it out.

or maybe you walk around with bunny ears on your head to pick up local radio stations
