Cam's throw to Shockey was amazing!!

Vick, Cutler, Big Ben, Rodgers, Stafford......probably all could make it off balanced like that. Some probably have the arm not sure they are athletic enough to make under those conditions.

I think they can make the pass, I agree.. the point I was making is it appears he has 1 of the top 3 strongest arms in the league..

like it or not, he's a gunslinger. he's going to be doing a lot of that kind of thing and much of the time it's going to look ugly and sometimes it will result in an INT, but more often than not, it's that kind of thing that is going to result in big plays for us.

i don't want him playing scared. i don't want him to throw a lot of INTs, but i also don't want him to be timid. we need someone that is going to be bold like that.

as time goes on, you are going to be seeing more comparisons to bret favre and for good reasons. the personalities are very similar as players.

Honestly, this team needs a QB who isn't afraid to take chances when the time calls for it. If the Steerler guy didn't cause the interference, that shot would have been in the top ten of QB shots.

U had a QB who lost his confidence and was/is afraid to take chances. U know have one who seems very comfortable in his skin. Every game is a 50/50 chance of winning. Why not take ur chances.

Huh? Did you see the play at all? Who was going to intercept it? No one was even in that area but a linebacker and his back was to Cam when he threw it. And he threw it right on the sidelines where nobody but Shockey could catch it. People saying it was dangerous clearly do not know very much about football. He wasn't heaving it across his body or into triple coverage. He threw a pass to the sideline where a linebacker wasn't even looking. Yeah, he better not do that anymore. :rolleyes:

Cam is like a combo of Favre, Big Ben, and Vick. Media only likes to look at 1st round black QBs however when talking of him.....

Sadly the most narrowminded comment came from Charlie Casserly of NFLN when he stated during the draft that Cam will intentionally be branded with the "Jamarcus" label until he proves otherwise. I seriously wonder if he would love for Andrew Luck to be branded with the Ryan Leaf label until he proves himself. And thank God last night, those on NFLN officially lifted the label. Cam is so lucky...SMDH

I don't have a problem with comparisons but when it's done to intentionally hurt someone's image and not based in reality, it says more about the accuser than the accused.

The ball was practically in Shockley's hand but the the Steelers defender held him. I believe that is why many are saying it should have been called interference.

How would he do that? If you were watching the LB wasn't even looking when Cam threw it. I'm not sure about you but I haven't seen many players intercept passes without seeing it. Even as Shockey was catching it, the LB didn't see the ball. He just wrapped up Shockey before he caught it. It was not a dangerous pass by any means. Cam threw 2 other passes that were much more dangerous than that one.

I agree, it will get ugly when he pulls a Josh Freeman 5 INT game and everyone is ready lynch the guy. I realize he's a rook, in that play,Cam was already on his way down. (which was the impressive part that he actually threw that far close to his knees, which is very awesome.) Why try to do TOO much? If it was a play off game or the super bowl, ok fine. But in preseason? That's my opinion on that.

I said clearly, he, as in the LB, wasn't looking for the ball. IF he was, he more than likely would have Jumped in front of that ball.
