Panthers WR Steve Smith hits The Jungle tomorrow. He's having fun again, but here's hoping he cracks back on those who said he lost a step.
Steve Smith is one of my favorite guys ever to rap with. His game and his intensity are a given, but I'm always amazed by the conversation.

His show is from 12-3pm(est) http://tunein.com/radio/KLAC-570-s26568/

Don't know what time Smitty will be on though...

-Been up and down w/ new system. Embraced the change and enjoyed it, its been fun

-He mentioned a heath scare w/ his wife (never head about that). It was mono but they feared it was Lupus. Said shes 90% now.

-Said he allowed last season to take have a bigger affect on him than it should have. Between that and his wife's heath he was humbled.

-Mentioned all the speculation of him losing his speed and ability making him hungrier.

-Praised Cam, Shockey, Olsen, Naanee, Lafell, J-Stew and D.Will. He called the coaching staff creative. Didn't want to diss Fox, but he likes the fruit Rivera is serving. We need the wins, but we are headed in the right direction.

-He said battling with Charles Woodson was fun and an honor.

-Expects Cam to be as good as he wants to be as long as he keeps putting in the work. He said Cam does a lot of work that no one will ever see.

    • Names I'd keep an eye on... Coby White,  Jalen Suggs, Amen Thompson  and Stephen Castle...  3 teams except Orlando has checked on Melo before and rumblings of sours getting rid of fox too. I'd think they think Melo and Wemby would make them nuclear out west.
    • Well he somehow had 12 preseason carries for not playing. He also has 20 carries in the regular season, not three. He has actually played in about 7% of the offensive snaps for this regular season(33% of the special teams snaps). This isn't stuff you have to make up, these are very easily referenced statistics, man.
    • It's not common for a RB to recover from two ACL tears in the same knee. It's fairly rare. You are correct that it isn't the career ender that it used to be but there is also the fact that we appear to have largely moved on with the additions of Dowdle and Etienne.  Dobbins is a very good example. He has basically missed 54% of his career regular season games since he came into the league in 2020. It will end up being 57% at the conclusion of this season. It's a big contributing factor to why he is on this third NFL team in 6 years. It's certainly possible that may be 4 by the beginning of next season. I would say there is very little chance that Brooks ever contributes in any meaningful way in Carolina. Possibly with another team but I am extremely skeptical of his future here because of those injuries and because of the roster.
