Look all I'm saying is the reality of the situation after two games is this: No one can say that the reason we can put up +400 yards passing is because we played a bad defense. We did it to Arizona. We did it to Green Bay.

What everyone CAN say...is that your team does have to have a high scoring offense to beat Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. That's the only thing both of those teams had in common. They had the ability to put up a lot of points on the board.

They capitalized on our mistakes and didn't make nearly as many themselves. That's ultimately why they won.

Maybe it is me. but where are all these threads predicting doom and gloom?? Sure there may be some but not the cascade of responses to necessitate a thread like this.

Now we're going to lose to the Jags because we lost Thomas Davis and because Godfrey might be out?

....and next week we're going to lose because we're playing the Bears on the road and some other injury.

....and then we're going to lose because we can't stop the Saint's O without Beason and Thomas Davis even if we get Godfrey back

....and next year year we're going to lose because it's only our 2nd full year of "rebuilding" with Cam....and more injuries.

I think we will win this week. But I am not calling for a drubbing.

21-17 is my call. That is a cover and the under and I will be parlaying the $400 I won this weekend on that.

I thought we would lose against the packers and was right. It's OK to think your team will lose sometimes.

I think we will lose to the bears.

The Saints might be a good upset but I will wait a few weeks to predict that one.

Like I said there will be a few threads predicting gloom and doom, there always are. And there will be some trivializing what Cam has done. But there is not an overal sense of gloom and doom on this board as if you needed to chastize the majority of fans about our general attitude. And that is what you posted that the attitude on this board was doom and gloom. Frankly I can't remember the last time I was this optimistic about our team after going 0-2 the first 2 weeks. Then again it didn't surprise me, I predicted we would 2-6 at the break. If we win this week I will be right on target.

But overall after last year I think posters are very positive about the direction of this team and our progress after 2 weeks. Now if we lose to Jacksonville, things could turn decidely negative but not yet.

I'd expect that from a coach or a press conference. Yeah they're positive about that.

But they're not positive about winning each and every game. They're not positive about staying in the playoff race. They're not positive about us having a chance to do anything this year.

Its fun and all to dream about our team potential, but much more fun to still be in the race.
