Still waiting on a reverse pass for a TD too.

This staff, like the former one is trying to make this guy A Smitty. He's not. Use the players to their strengths. I thought that was covered in Coaching 101

Please tell me what is "low intelligence" about that post.

Everybody is saying he is sucking it up at returning but it he sucked so much in practice and to the coaches, he would be on the bench. Remember Goodson on KR? So Armanti must be doing something right in practice on PR or the coaching staff sees something that we as fans don't right now.

maybe it isnt low intelligence.

maybe its ignorance.

who says we are trying to make armanti into steve smith? did someone say that? did hurney say that?

if armanti is so good and can beat all these LBers you speak of why isnt he out there?

because you're smarter then our coaching staff? Because you know coaching better then our coaching staff?

what has armanti shown in practice, preseason, and training camp that shows you he can be like wes welker?

his dropped passes? his inability to prove himself in the small opportunities he gets?

OR maybe I have an excellent point and you just want to argue.

I could try to entertain your silly questions with smart answers but it's obvious that you're having a bad day and taking it out on me. I made a point about Armanti Edwards not being properly utilized in our offense. The same point could be made about our running backs and TE's in certain situations.

Does it mean I'm smarter than a coach. Absolutely Not. It does however mean that these are my observations as a fan. I believe that this is what this site is used for. You can agree or disagree with my point of view...

I don't think that gives you the right to insult my intelligence by implying that I'm ignorant based off of my observations that a large percentage of this fan base would agree with.

Not having a bad day at all.

Sorry I insulted your intelligence but I dont agree with you about anything you have posted in this thread

So what do you think we should do with AE then?

Cut sling load? Without putting him on the field as a WR?

I know why Legadu is our #2 because Rivera said why, along with other players. He's familiar with the offense and shows great leadership ability by helping the guys line up properly in practice.

NOBODY here knows why AE is on the sidelines. Everybody can speculate but nobody on this site other than Maybe Zod has the access to that information.

If u don't agree with me that's fine, but I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter. Maybe I will understand why you disagree when I see where you're coming from. As it stands now, I have no idea where you stand when it comes to AE, other than the fact that you don't think putting him in the slot in certain packages makes NO sense.

He's returning punts because he's not hurting us (holding onto the ball) and the staff wants to see as much as possible this year so they can have a better basis for seeing whether he factors in to the plans for 2012, although there's not much optimism, not just because of his lack of return ability but also because he's viewed as a liability at WR (can't run correct routes, poor blocking, drops/missed too many balls, small, not physical, average speed).

Remember that the staff doesn't really care what the "investment" in Armani is in terms of the pick given up and where he was drafted. They just need guys who can play. He has no trade value at all. The cap hit, etc. is just something the front office will need to deal with, but if the staff tells them they just aren't going to play him and want someone else, Marty will have to find a way to get it done.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
