The Walking Dead on AMC

I'm still curious about Morgan & son. They ended his little story line way too abruptly for him to never come back into play. One morning, Rick radio'd him that they were headed to Fort Bennett, and we haven't heard of it since. You'd think if we were never to hear/see of them again, they'd somehow make it official, like by having Rick actually say he's given up hope on them or something.

Maybe Herschel kicks the group out, they head to Ft Bennett, and find Morgan & son, who went there after Rick's last radio broadcast...

Morgan comes back in the comics but it's a long ways away from where their at now. But I wouldn't be surprised if they brought him back in the second half of the season.

As far as Herschel knowing that Sophia was in the barn I want to say he didn't. He mentioned in the episode that Otis was the one who put the walkers in the barn, and Otis never knew about the missing girl because he died before the rest of Rick's gang got to the farm. It's only been a week tops since they got to the farm, so it's understandable that only Otis and the girl who fed the chicken to the Walkers in the barn knew that Sophia was in there.

love how they are handling daryl. love how shane is still alive in the show and what his character is like.

I was dissapointed in this episode, honestly thinking it was one ofthe worst ones....until the final 10 min, that just blew me away. I knew rick would be the only one strong enough to step up and shoot her.

how long has it been since all this poo went down? a couple/3 months??

Honestly I don't think it's been that long. I feel like the entire series from the time Rick woke up from the coma until now has been a month tops. This is my basic timeline for the first season.

Day 1: Rick woke up in the hospital, went back to his old neighborhood, met Morgan and Duane and spent the night there

Day 2: Rick took Morgan and Duane to the police station to shower then went to ATL where he got trapped in the tank and met Glenn and all of them and left Merle on the roof. Goes back to the camp sees his wife and Carl and meets the other survivors.

Day 3: Rick,Darryl, T-Dogg and Glenn go back to the roof to find Merle, realize he cut his hand off and left. Glenn gets kidnapped by the Hispanic gang working at the old folks home. When they get back to the camp and they're ambushed by walkers and a bunch of people die.

Day 4: The next morning Andrea is waiting for her sister to become a walker after the previous nights ambush and the group leaves the camp to head to the CDC. Jim was bit by a walker and left by the side of the road on the way to the CDC. They get to the CDC that night and spend the night there.

Day 5: The CDC scientist tells them that the CDC is going to explode and everyone freaks out except the black chick and Andrea who want to die. They escape from the CDC and start to drive to Ft. Benning.

The second season picks up exactly after the first, and from the looks of it it looks like it's only been a few more days. I highly doubt that the search for Sophia has gone on for over a week but I also highly doubt that with very little medical attention Carl is bouncing around after less than a week but that's what it appears to be. The writers are very deliberate with saying "tomorrow morning" and things like that so it's evident that not a lot of time has transpired.

I found something similar

http://www.walkingdeadforums.com/forum/showthread.php/615-The-ACTUAL-timeline-of-the-show-1-WEEK-so-far!

Just after this attack scene, the trip to the CDC is foreshadowed by a clip of Dr. Jenner making a video log inside the CDC facility. In the video, he gives us two important numbers, but they go by so fast it is easy to miss them. Jenner says it is "Day 194 since wildfire was declared and 63 days since the disease abruptly went global". This would be the third day since Rick woke up. This means the disease has been spreading for over 6 months and has been an international pandemic for 2 months. Rick knew nothing about it when he woke up (and he wasn't discussing it before he got shot), so he was probably comatose before it 'abruptly went global' two months ago.

so 2 months since the Outbreak started and a week-10 days since Rick wakes up??

I could've sworn though that Hershell said something to Rick about them being there for a week already..I could be wrong though..even if he did though..that would put it between 2-3 weeks..give or take

Don't read too much into the dialogue/plot details like that. TV shows aren't written like that, even the ones with higher production values like AMC shows. That always used to bug me with Lost. People read into every little detail like they meant something. TV Shows are often written episode by episode, or in blocks. Maintaining a tightly wound plot is difficult when any episode could be your last. It gets worse between seasons.

Wait, how did Rick survive that long in the hospital with no medical attention? It must've been a while since there were any doctors and nurses there to assist him, and maybe even longer since the doctors/nurses probably tried to tend to the people with the fever.

I mean, I dunno how those things work, but food and water? I think he was hooked to an IV, but still.
