Was the loss Cam's fault? Coming up on ESPN first take.

ask yourself this. Did cam's performance help or hurt the team.

I'm not here to talk semantics about game situations.

Yes, the defense is hurting. That's what happens when two star linebackers are on ir.

I wish you nut huggers would be able to debate without being biased.

It wasn't a perfect performance by any means. But Cam's performance was also the only reason we were even in the game.

So his overall performance helped the team IMO. His interceptions hurt for sure but they were all kind of a fluke. But he also led us to 24 first downs, 7/11 third down conversions, 8 first down completions, and scored a touchdown.

Cam looked like a very promising rookie yesterday.

Reality just seems to be we are not the kind of team that can carry even a mediocre performance from a rookie, and no rookie is the kind of player that can carry the kind of team we are.

From the moment we drafted cam, i knew there would some bad rookie days.

I'm not upset about it.

His interceptions were fluky stuff. Most interceptions are.

There will be days like that.

Back to the point, cam's performance did hurt the team. Our defense isn't even remotely good enough to carry a bad performance by a qb.

Most disturbing to me, isn't the interceptions, but the lack of TD's, especially in the fourth quarter.

He is a rookie, and he'll get better...

Just stop acting like his performance (lack of) didn't contribute to the loss.

    • I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.
    • lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
