Some fear Luck could make a power play

No evidence that 6 games into his rookie season, Cam is the standard for NFL QBs.

Cam has become the standard for rookie QBs. Luck will be chasing his records and impact as a rookie QB in the NFL. Cameron already set the standard last year in college football with a resume and season Luck has still yet to match.

Not that you see anything objectively, but guys like Flacco, Sanchez, Big Ben, Ryan, Dalton, they are the standard for rookie QBs. Guys that come in and lead their teams to wins, give them a chance at the playoffs.

Records mean nothing, unless it's W/L record.

College records, lol.

I think they are both a part of consistent winners and have both made plays in their young careers which helped their teams get where they are.

Those are guys that made an impact on their teams and have them winning games. Our season is the same as last year.

We're talking rookie seasons only. Cam is putting up stats in an offense that made DA a probowler and acting like it's the new standard when guys like Dalton have very good numbers and wins THIS YEAR and they get ignored because they are....redheads lets say.

I tried to start liking Luck, but dammit it makes it so hard. I can't stand rich entitled little bitches like him.

I still hope he breaks his leg.

Yea, because he hasn't worked hard at all to become the most coveted QB prospect to come out of college since John Elway.....

The kid may have money, but he probably works harder than 99% of us every single day.

Everybody excluding Ryan that you mentioned had a top defense to help them stop other teams.

Im not saying Cam hasnt made mistakes but all these losses cant be put on him.

You couldnt say that last year with jimmy clausen who at least had a defense.

Ya, Ya, excuses excuses whatever.

Im not taking anything away from dalton, or flacco but sometimes the team has to play like a team.

Honestly, I'm not so sure that our D was all that good last season. Teams just didn't have to put up many point to beat us, so it seemed that they were better than reality.

Who do we have from last year that is out?

Beason?

Gettis?

Our offense got a ton of new weapons, including Chud. Our defense lost 1 starter due to injuries.

You can argue it to the death, but those guys are the standard for rookie QBs. You can think Luck will bust all you want, but it's just based on hatred after being turned down.

Cam is doing fine, but the insecurities on the Huddle are laughable.

I think they played pretty damn well early on in the season and it regressed as the season went on, due, in my opinion, to the combined factors of fatigue and the beginnings of nolongergivesashitittis.

It's so funny how whenever anyone brings up winning QBs the board says "Yeah but they have like the #1 defense and that's the only reason they are winning"

Quite a contrast from prior Huddle logic. If Dalton ends up 10-6 and Cam ends up 2-14, it would be extremely hard to argue that Cam had a more successful rookie season. He might have eye popping numbers, but just because Dalton doesn't need to doesn't mean he isn't capable. He's doing the things he needs to do to win.

Like I mentioned elsewhere, Cam has been sacked more, has more turnovers, less TDs per attempt, etc.

Dalton is making plays without hurting his team.

Again if you think that our team is losing because of our offense, or our QB specifically than you're letting your bias show. They have made some mistakes, sure, but we are losing as a team effort and it's more to do with our defensive failures than ANYTHING else. All those successful QB's had above average to great defenses on the other side of the ball, we have one damn near the bottom of the league.

Those QB's may represent a standard for team success with a rookie QB, but they aren't representative of success of a QB individually.
