Terry Bradshaw ranked Dalton ahead of Cam...

Cams two fumbles lost that game plan and simple.

His two fumbles did not lose the game, our defense giving up 24 points and some questionable calls by the officials are what lost us the game. The kid completed 63% of his passes and threw for 290 yards and 3 TD's plus he ran for 53 yards. it's not a Qb's fault if his left tackle(Jordan Gross) gets beat and he is hit from the blind side while trying to release the ball. But leave it you to find some way to lay the blame on Cam. :out:

You should make a pact with yourself to never attempt a sane debate with someone who considers "wins" a QB statistic.

Come on, hold him a little bit accountable. Everyone blamed the fumbles on the white quarterbacks when they were here. It's racist if you don't blame the fumbles on Cam.

I would have if he weren't in the pocket trying to make a pass. Those happen. Happened to Tom Brady, can't see guys coming unblocked from the blind side.

Had he been running around careless and got stripped, 100% on him. (and its happened, he just recovered or it went out of bounds)

So if he wasn't going to throw yet because it was still too early in the play, that wouldn't be on protection? If it's too late, is that on protection or should he throw it away before then? Shouldn't he feel that guy with that great pocket presence and all?

These are some things that, we'll say previous, QBs were accused of and blamed for.

I just don't buy it. I've watched blame get placed on the QB every time for fumbles on this board, now all of the sudden it's the line.

Not saying I disagree, just making notes of the reactions to different QBs is all.

How many points did he get in the 4th quarter yesterday when the game was tied or we were down by 3? How many of the defense's 24 points were because of fumbles? How many points did the defense give up in the 4th quarter when the game was on the line: 3?

Points given up in the first 3 quarters by the defense: 21(14 on lost fumbles by Cam)

Points given up in the 4th quarter: 3

Points by Cam in the first 3 quarters: 21

Points he got in the 4th quarter: 0

Number of points given up by the defense when an opponent had to drive down the field in the first 3 quarters: 7

Number of points given up by the defense when an opponent had to drive down the field in the 4th quarter: 3

Number of fumbles won by our D: 1. led to: 0 points and another fumble by Cam.

Number of points that resulted from our opponents scoring on our D because of fumbles by Cam: 14

Who is stepping up in the 4th quarter? And who is dropping the ball? And he almost slips up and tries to say that we don't have a good D?

He's about to lose the fuging team. One more press conference like that will do it. We're on the verge of a meltdown and if Rivera doesn't step in and takes the rains, things are about to seriously fall apart.

Vikings scored Two touchdowns off those fumbles. 14 dam points. The one just before halftime was the killer.

Yes and Cam scored 21 points and 21>14! I agree the one before the half was a killer but those things are going to happen and it happend at midfield so your defense gets a chance to at least hold them to a field goal and they couldn't.

Now that we've distinctions the new/old fans from each. I want to get a few things out.

- It is impossible to blame 1 person for yesterday's loss. I know some of us don't like that, but winning and losing is a team effort.

- I can't fully blame Cam (and I will not) for getting hit on the blind side and losing the ball. Give him some blame? sure why not. While we're at it, he missed some throws yesterday as well.

But what is most aggravating is, while I'm willing to give Cam some blame, why can't we give some to the defense for giving up points? It is possible to have the ball turned over and hold teams to field goals and not touchdowns. I mean even when we score what is preventing the Defense stopping the opposing offense? It sure isn't Cam.

Well see, I don't have anything to do with posters on this board. They range from A-Z, Smart/Dumb/In between. All of that. And I'm not fickle, If I have been point it out and I'll accept it.

    • Here’s a summary of the JJ and Luke podcast transcript. Opening / Bryce Young Fifth-Year Option     •    JJ: Breaking news — Panthers picked up Bryce Young’s fifth-year option at $25.9M, guaranteed, coming in 2027. Combined with his 2025 salary of ~$6M, that’s $31M over two years — called it a “no-brainer.”     •    Luke: Enthusiastic about the move. Highlighted Bryce’s improving TD/INT ratios (11/10 → 15/9 → 23/11) and the value of entering year three with Dave Canales. Noted $25M is a bargain relative to the $60M top of market. Luke’s Personal Update — Charlotte Christian Football     •    Luke: Working with Charlotte Christian school football program, which hired a new head coach. Coaches include Greg Olsen, Luke, and Greg’s dad Chris Olsen (a New Jersey State coaching Hall of Famer).     •    JJ: Jokingly quipped that Charlotte Christian’s coaching staff is “the world’s greatest” — a Fox analyst, a Hall of Famer, and the best Panthers RB ever — all coaching middle school football.     •    Luke: Praised Chris Olsen’s deep football knowledge spanning decades and his ability to connect with kids. Round 1, Pick 19 — Monroe Freeling, OT, Georgia     •    JJ: Panthers were on the clock and submitted their pick almost immediately — a sign of confidence and preparation. Freeling is 6’7”, 320 lbs, played in the SEC in a pro-style system.     •    Luke: Loved the pick. Emphasized you can never have too many quality offensive linemen. Noted Freeling’s size, athleticism, and arm length as key traits. Said the pick also reflects team’s philosophy of drafting great people, not just great players.     •    JJ: Noted reporter Darren Gantt compared Freeling favorably to Jordan Gross — bigger, heavier, and faster — as a potential franchise left tackle.     •    Luke: Pointed out that young players like Freeling still have physical development ahead of them, comparing the trajectory to Christian McCaffrey’s growth from age 20 onward. Round 2, Pick 49 — Lee Hunter, DT, Texas Tech     •    JJ: Panthers traded up from 51 to 49 (pick swap with Minnesota) to grab Hunter. Played audio from Panthers area scout Kaden McLuhan, who scouted Hunter.     •    Scout Kaden McLuhan (audio): Said Hunter’s size is immediately striking, and that everyone around him spoke glowingly about his character, energy, and love for the game.     •    Luke: Praised Hunter as a massive (6’3”, 320 lbs, ~34” arms) two-gap nose tackle who fits perfectly in the Evero defense. Compared his prospect profile to Akiem Hicks. Said having Derek Brown, Bobby Brown, Derrick Brown, Terson Wharton, and now Hunter creates varied body types that stress offensive linemen.     •    JJ: Noted Hunter ranked third among all prospects in run-stuff rate and sixth in interior pass-rush win rate — addressing a perception that he couldn’t rush the passer. Rounds 3–7 Highlights     •    Luke: Highlighted WR Brazle (3rd round, 6’4”, 437 speed, 1,000+ yards at Tennessee) as the vertical threat the offense needed. Also praised OL Sam Heck (5th round) as a technically sound player whose “short arms” caused him to fall but who has proven himself.     •    Luke: Mentioned CB Will Lee (6’1”, 33” arms) fits the Panthers’ DB prototype — big, long corners.     •    Luke: Praised S/LB hybrid Zaki Wheatley (5th round, 6’3”) as a big nickel similar to Trayvon Merek.     •    Luke: Excited about the linebacker competition between Devin Lloyd, Trevvin Wallace, and Claudin Cherless.     •    JJ: Noted Panthers had the #1 “steal/overreach” rating in the entire draft — drafting players lower than consensus big boards projected. Around the League     •    Luke: Admitted being “a little jealous” that the Miami Dolphins drafted LB Jacob Rodriguez (Luke’s favorite LB in the draft). Has personal connections to Miami’s coaching staff (Jeff Hafley, DC Shawn Dugen — a childhood teammate).     •    Luke: Also noted Miami’s selection of OT/G Kaden Proctor out of Alabama, who will likely move to guard. League Trends — Bigger Tight Ends / 12 & 13 Personnel     •    JJ: Observed the NFL saw its highest run rate in ~11 years (~52%) and a notable pivot toward big blocking tight ends in this draft.     •    Luke: Explained the cyclical nature of NFL offense/defense evolution — as defenses get smaller to match spread offenses, teams counter with bigger personnel (12/13 formations), which then forces defenses to get bigger at the nickel/“big nickel” spot. Called it an ongoing arms race.
