My thoughts:

Charles Johnson get's fired up-you pull him.

a lot I could comment on.. maybe later.. hard to think you aren't overreacting just yet when you think CJ should be pulled, and ignore that he was pulled for a few plays.. also when you want to cut Naanee when he played a much more solid game compared to every other player on that Panthers team not named Gamble, Hardy, and Anderson..

I agree with the opening post. I said earlier that the head coach shows no emotion and now that I thinkof it he does remind me of Norv Turner in SD. I would prefer a coach who shows some type of emotion like he cares instead of us having to assume he does.

Name one HC the Panthers have had that was emotional? Looking back at all 4, they have been the same....automatons boring fuging automatons.

CG--

Great write up and you're not over-reacting

Maybe over-emotional given the point about emulating the Chargers completely from a fundamental standpoint but I agree with a lot of what you said.

I was 8 when when the cats were formed and its the only team I'm a complete fan of and from day 1. Anyone who endured those Beuerlein years, as solid as he was, should know that simply having a vertical game and a "system" in place won't get it done. Its about the trenches, the fundamentals, and self discipline. Being a crazy sumbitch but in control. That's the mentality I want.

This season comes across as the personnel acting as the chess players with the players as their pieces putting the label on them. That's not an NFL team in my book. A team takes the coaches being at the same level with the players and above them at the same time. They gut check, call guys out, and create an atmosphere where players can feed off each other. This team needs a gut check on what it means to be a team. I thought with guys like Shockey, Gross, & Beason we would get that, but it's not looking right. I don't know why it feels so off this year even with Cam playing well but it does for me and I'm used to losing....like I said this is my only team and my family is all Chicago Cubs

I don't want experience this again:

And right on with mocking the tl;dr responses

ts;mo - too short; missing out :)

The internet definition of hipster is someone who purposely hates trends because they are popular.

Many people are mad about a certain number of things. Chances are there will be a few who try to contest them simply because they don't like to "go with the flow."

What they don't understand-is that there is sometimes a flow for a reason. I think it fits just fine.

Doesn't fit me at all.

I just disagree with some of your points.

Isn't the title a bit dramatic? I thought a team had to leading and leading big for the word collapse to be used. Are u already predicting the season because of today's game.

IMO, Ur team loses because they are not a complete team. Way to much depending on the offense and way to much depending on ur QB. In all honesty, today's game was a game waiting to happen.

And I honestly feel that u're burning out ur rookie QB by depending on him to make plays game in and out. I don't care how talented a QB is he cannot carry a team week in and out on his back. Cam can't seem to have a bad day and feel confident that his team will carry him. Damn, he can't even a great day and hope his team can help him win.

No defense...No wins...Season is over. Ask the Patriots...It's now a reality that has to be faced.

He didn't have more time. He gets the ball out quicker. You guys have not seen this all year? You get pressured more when you hold on to the ball longer too! It works both ways.

Cam doesn't get it out quick. Which is why our red-zone offense sucks. Which is why we always rush Cam in the red-zone. Why we lead the league in holding penalties. Which is why Steve Smith only has 4 TD's and nearly 1000 yards.

Do you guys never ask yourself why Cam Newton only looks good in yards and long balls when it comes to passing? STEVE SMITH!

He's bad in everything else:

Cam is now last in sacks.

Nearly last in picks.

Bad completion percentage.

First in holding penalties

He's not ready for the NFL. Neither is our offensive style with Cam.

The ESPN talking heads were saying Cam was making Smith look good and you, real Panthers fans, agreed. Bought into the lie. Shame on you. Let it be known.

Panther fans are disloyal to proven vets. And credit unproven rookies before they credit their veteran and proven players. This is what's wrong with this fan base.

lulz

You are one dumb bass.

We'll see who the dumbass is. Ain't the first time.

When was the last time you saw a team win when a QB played like this?

23 40 212 57.5 5.30 19 0 1 61.7 5 sacks

I'll let you think about that. I know it's very hard for most to figure out.

What's hilarious is that you think that all those sacks and hurries were because he was holding the ball too long.

And, in the same breath, you accuse people of not having watched the game.

Priceless.

You're right. I'm sure it was the real beastly, 17th ranked Titans defense, against one of the best offensives line in the NFL.

That's what it was. Part of it was the O-line. Most of it was Cam Newton.

When Smith has a bad day. Cam has a bad day.

legedu: 8 75 9.4 0 Long: 18

LOL. So hard to figure this one out. It's been like this all year. But it's Cam that makes Smith look good. I forgot....

Only thing I would add is that the new CBA agreement limiting practice during the bye week has not helped any team this year. Coming off of a bye week this year losers far out number the winners.

But agree our coaching staff needs a little fire - I would give just about anything to see Rivera get in someones a$$ after a stupid mental mistake!
