Let me know when you figure out what game that was dumbass

Who cares what game it was? Doesn't change today's reality.

We had one of the best ranked offensive lines all year in pass protect. We're ranked 8th overall for the year. In the past 3 weeks we have slipped down to 19th.

Why cause our gimmick offense has been figured out. And Cam Newton holds on to the ball too much. A QB gets sacked when he doesn't get rid of the ball.

And since I know where my O-line stands...it's not hard to figure out what's going on.

Newton got pressured pretty quick today.. hard for me to believe he was back there holding onto the ball for 10 seconds when pressure was there in 3..

I have no idea why our TEs weren't used today.. maybe Olsen fumbling and dropping key passes had something to do with it..

I didn't see Newton as a bad QB today as much as I saw the whole offense shitting the bed.

You do because you made it your basis for ranting...

I'll throw out another good one: 12-25 153 yards 4 sacks

You're right. I'm sure it was the real beastly, 17th ranked Titans defense, against one of the best offensives line in the NFL.

That's what it was. Part of it was the O-line. Most of it was Cam Newton.

When Smith has a bad day. Cam has a bad day.

legedu: 8 75 9.4 0 Long: 18

LOL. So hard to figure this one out. It's been like this all year. But it's Cam that makes Smith look good. I forgot....

did you not see Steve Smith's stats the past 2 years?

He didn't have more time. He gets the ball out quicker. You guys have not seen this all year? You get pressured more when you hold on to the ball longer too! It works both ways.

Cam doesn't get it out quick. Which is why our red-zone offense sucks. Which is why we always rush Cam in the red-zone. Why we lead the league in holding penalties. Which is why Steve Smith only has 4 TD's and nearly 1000 yards.

Do you guys never ask yourself why Cam Newton only looks good in yards and long balls when it comes to passing? STEVE SMITH!

He's bad in everything else:

Cam is now last in sacks.

Nearly last in picks.

Bad completion percentage.

First in holding penalties

He's not ready for the NFL. Neither is our offensive style with Cam.

The ESPN talking heads were saying Cam was making Smith look good and you, real Panthers fans, agreed. Bought into the lie. Shame on you. Let it be known.

Panther fans are disloyal to proven vets. And credit unproven rookies before they credit their veteran and proven players. This is what's wrong with this fan base.

Yeah, u sound like u're ready for Luck to join the Panthers.

Actually, today was a reality check of how bad ur team really is when the offense gets shut down. Ur defense can't even help out and shut down the opposing team offense so FGs will determine the game. No instead it's business as usual giving up 30 plus points like they have almost every game since the beginning of the season. How is that playing better.

For anyone to believe that the defense had a better than usual day today really are completely fixated on the offense and nothing else with this team.

Today is the reality of what everyone has been saying from the beginning of the season. To blame Cam is to continue to over look the real issue of this team, it's defense.

Yes because I'm just like every other idiot who keeps wanting us to draft rookie QB's.

fug Luck.

fug Cam.

fug Clausen.

fug AE.

fug every damn one of them. Everybody knows the chances of hitting a good QB as the #1 draft pick is like 5%.

Last QB not named Manning drafted #1 to be worth a damn: John Elway 1983

If Marty knew history....

Or we could stop being insanely critical of a team who is missing every defensive leader pretty much and is being run by rookie qb and coaches. Sure I am just as mad as every other fan but as soon as the game ends I can put it in perspective. Everyone can keep bitching but for me, I will not officially judge the team overall until next season. The rest of this year is to find who the keepers are and who aren't. And for cam to develop.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
