Who is reporting that? I'm not doubting you, but I'd like to follow someone with that kind of insight.

Also-is there anyone else they could be evaluating?

I see scouts from the Panthers, Chiefs, Cardinals, Bucs, Niners, and Jets here tonight at the #OSU vs #ISU game.

Slightly overvaluing the receiver position. Keeping the QB healing >> 4,000 yards passing. I LOVE Blackmon, but this team using a high pick on a receiving with Matt Kalil on the board (if that happens) would be fuging stupid.

Especially since its been proven 1,000 times over that you can find really good receivers outside the first round of the draft.

Stupid is your opinion.... I think a strong case can be made for both....

It's my opinion when you have a strong passing game it can make teams pay for blitizing you or for leaving certain players 1 on 1... leading to your offense being able to dictate or control what the defense does. As a result things become easier for the O-line as the defense does not want to pay for rushing the QB foolishly. I think Blackman can be that guy. Him with Steve & Gettis could make for a very good WR core for Cam.

At the same time to get a beast O-lineman is also a good key piece to move around... A few extra seconds on a few plays can give WR's that extra time to get open, or the RB's a little more room.

I personally don't think we will be in position to draft either of these players... While I would go with Blackman (Due to the fact I think u can draft Blackman in the 1st and a O-lineman later and as a team we can probably come out better vs taking Kalil in the 1st and a WR later in the draft) I would be happy with either and could understand support for both.

As that link says, Markelle Martin is another player I'm sure we are looking at. He's a mid-2nd round projected pick at this point-but we desperatley could use an upgrade at FS. Sherrod isn't bad, but we really need a ballhawk in today's NFL. I'm partial to Robert Lester, personally, as he seems to have a nose for the ball more so than Markelle, but I certainly don't mind a taking a look.

Optimal of course would be Sherrod taking that next step before seasons end and becoming a great player for us, but right now it's a position we have to be mindful of. I like Sherrod. Would love to see him play like a man possessed in the second half of the year.

Blackmon would be nice but I think its more important to build a defense that is at least decent before drafting a WR.

Smith

Gettis

Lafell

Olsen

Shockey

D-Will

J-Stew

is more then enough weapons for a good QB. Can you name 5 better supporting casts in the league then that? Plus I bet with Cam we could attract any FA WR...theres talk about Desean Jackson not being resigned in Philly. I just don't see the point in spending a high first on offense when we already have all-pro caliber players at every position and our defense is awful.

Get Cam a defense.

My opinion...

Pittsburgh, Dallas, Philly, Detroit, Green Bay, Atlanta, New Orleans,

Then there are another group of teams that can be argued
