Should Tebow success get under Cam's skin

I've seen a opponent totally shut down The Golden Calf of Bristol, have yet to see anyone totally shut down Cam...

Yes.. but how many INTs does Cam have as well? Which is why he doesn't have wins...

Cam's stats are fluff because they arn't really efficient and Cam has a ton of talent on offense a coach said that at half time of today's game..

Yet he did far better against the lions D than The Golden Calf of Bristol...

fool's gold.. different ways of attacking. Did you not watch when Fox was there? Fox believes in grinding games out not trying to outscore teams... t prevent all those turnovers like Cam.

Cam has more completions than The Golden Calf of Bristol has attempts. You can't compare their INT numbers until The Golden Calf of Bristol actually becomes a QB and passes the ball.

That INT where Cam got hit as he threw and it just wobbled around in the air looked exactly like your average The Golden Calf of Bristol pass.

And yet look at The Golden Calf of Bristol's TD to int ration.. much much better than Cam.. even with far less talent than Cam.

Peyton Manning and Brady don't have huge arms but they are much better than cam will ever be...

Sure you can.. because The Golden Calf of Bristol is a much more reliable runner than Cam. Cam runs when things break down and surprises people.. The Golden Calf of Bristol runs even when teams know he's going to run.

He can rely on his running.. Cam even said he was impressed by The Golden Calf of Bristol.. he knows what is what.. funny his fan don't get it...

Also, the Broncos D has contained the teams he faces.. The Golden Calf of Bristol hasn't had to take risks on offense.. this is why it makes no sense to say he can't score at a high rate if needed. There are times when The Golden Calf of Bristol has scored at a lightning rate to win games when necessary.. passing the ball too.. and with much less talent.

His ratio isn't better than Cam because you actually need a certain amount of attempts before it actually counts for poo.

A RB could have 1 carry for 1 TD in his career and then retire, that doesn't mean he has the best run to TD ratio ever.

and yet Brady has thrown as many ints as Cam heading into this game, and Manning had 22 ints his rookie year by this point.

No idea how Cam will end up, but his rookie season is really unparalleled.

Again.. Kyle Orton put up Dan Marino numbers last season.. and he's on the bench behind The Golden Calf of Bristol too..

It works the other way too.. just ask Orton who is riding the pine behind The Golden Calf of Bristol right now..

It was needed in the Lions game, wasn't it? Yet he couldn't score as as high a rate as Cam. Why didn't he?

Please don't repeat the poo about grinding on offense, he had 39 passing attempts that game.

"Dan Marino" numbers?? He had 3600 yards and 20 TDs, he was good, but he wasn't Dan Marino. Those would be a *down* year for Dan, especially if he played in today's NFL.

Hell if he played in Today's NFL he would probably shatter 5k yards every season. There's no comparison.

edit: Orton got benched because he was a veteran and expected to take care of the ball, but he had nearly as many INTs as TDs, threw 6 INTs in his last 3 games and the team was struggling. Fox was desperate. Orton may not be a bad QB, I don't know, but he wasn't benched because he was playing like Dan Marino

    • We're in alignment regarding Thielen not being a game changer/breaker for the Panthers. Getting the ball into hands of playmakers like TMac and XL is going to open up things more than it is getting it to Thielen underneath (or letting him go after 50/50 balls 20yds downfield in his mid-30s). However, in a room where the other guys are two second year guys and two rookies, having a reliable vet that they can learn from is just as important as it is for the QB to have as a reliable third option. I can see that being worth $8.5M (just 3%) of the $279.2M cap... especially when looking at what's left out there: https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/_/position/wr However, the idea that the team is forcing production to Thielen and leading to losses isn't supported by the data. Targets, not receiving yards, are how you can tell if a player is being "force fed." In the two games mentioned, let's look at the other players available... vs. TB 10 targets - Adam Thielen 9 targets - David Moore 8 targets - Tommy Tremble, Xavier Legette 3 targets - Jonathon Brooks 1 target - Dan Chisena, Feleipe Franks, Stephen Sullivan vs. PHI 11 targets - Adam Thielen 8 targets - Xavier Legette 5 targets - Chuba Hubbard, David Moore 2 targets - Tommy Tremble 1 target - Ja'Tavion Sanders, Deven Thompkins There isn't exactly a bounty of other names to throw the ball to. In those games, AT was one of the top 2 WRs. Diontae had been gone by that point.   So... yea. Agreed that Thielen isn't exactly carrying the team in his mid-30s, but it's undeniable that he was the most reliable target last season that still has quite a bit of value this season. Whether or not that value is reflected in a manner folks think on the contract is going to come down to personal taste. However, the idea that the team was forcing production to AT and that was the reason behind some losses couldn't be further from the truth.
    • I would also add that I think it's more than money.  AT has looked absolutely miserable out there at times, and there was a lot of speculation he would demand to be traded.  Personally, I thought he was a lock to be moved last year.  Maybe his hamstring is the only thing that prevents that from happening. The fact that he's not only willing to come back and play, but excited about it, really bodes well for Bryce.  AT is a veteran and he knows the game.  If he didn't have confidence in Bryce, I guarantee you he wouldn't be in a Panther uniform this year.  I'll take that as a positive.
