I was surprised how often we left him 1vs1 on Megatron. I thought Stafford would key on him more but then the Lions would just run a nice little delay for about 5-6 yards and get the easy first down lol.

From what I saw, Gamble did great today, EXCEPT for when he tried to press Megatron... He got toasted every time, Stafford just missed the passes or he had help over the top.

Yea that one play he tried to press him was pretty ugly. Martin still should have cut off that route.

Gamble played okay overall, "holding" CJ to 89 yards isn't exactly great but he wasn't what killed us.

I think the praise of Gamble this year might be a wee bit misguided. Why even bother throwing at the "best" cover guy the Panthers have when you have a freakin buffet of bad players to choose from?

that's partially true - Gamble's guy is usually covered, tight ends, receivers, running backs rarely are so take the easy, open completion.

Gamble is playing well this year overall though.
