I'm kinda meh on Samsung but that's because they're generally not good gaming TVs. If you don't plan to do any gaming, Samsung is not a bad brand.

What is one of the better brands for gaming? Also I am partial to plasma.

I have 46" Samsung 3D LED (Smart TV) and I play PS3 a lot on it. There nothing wrong with that TV. I also have Sharp Aquos 42" and its not as a good as Samsung.

I'm a big fan of Panasonic's plasmas. My next TV will be a VIERA plasma. The problem is all flat panel TVs have lag. Having game modes and all that jazz helps but there is still lag to the point that the major pro gaming events all use computer monitors instead of TVs.

Specifically this Asus:

is used at Evo and MLG. Even this has lag but 2ms is about as low as you can go.

99% of people won't notice HD lag though and on most games it really isn't an issue. It really only matters on fighting games like Street Fighter and BlazBlue and to some extent on FPS.

Depends on the size of your room. A giant TV will look bad in a small room.

I experienced Black Friday for the first time this year.

I went to Sears for the Sony PS3 headset, an extra controller...

After getting that, I went downstairs to check out the tools... That was the beginning of a string of bank account reducing decisions.

Craftsman tools were ridiculously priced at in most cases %50 off. Now I'm 28 years old, and don't really have any fancy tools, so naturally with these sales, I decided that this was the time to rack on up.

I spent right at $350 dollars and saved over $580 due to the sales!

I racked up by getting all of the major power tools that I'll need throughout my life pretty much. All the little things can be bought by other people as gifts.

And since I was in Fayetteville, and needed to get all of this back to FL tonight I got a "cargo bag" for the roof of my Durango. Reg price $185, but due to the sales and it also being a floor model I got it for $56!!!

Very happy with all my purchases!
