Armanti Edwards Progression Thread

He has made small improvements, but not enough to warrant a roster spot. IMO he still isn't adjusted to the speed of the game and that should be accomplished by mid season of his rookie year.

I think we need to get this guy later in the draft, he would work out nice in the slot as well. I am a huge Bama homer though.

I'll agree and seeing as this is his real rookie season since he didnt play a lick last season, he's right on pace. made a couple of nice returns the last two weeks. mid season.

I'm not hating on the guy, but i'd rather have someone who has seen NFL type talent in college opposed to guys that will be insurance salesmen. (Not hating on insurance salesmen)

I never understood the whole "project" label and how it relates to the NFL. A 67' Chevy in your garage is a project.

Yea you are and it's understandable. everyone looks at him and sees a 2nd round pick and he aint. but i think he'll be a solid player given the chance.

is what it is.

You've stated that you are a "AE fan" and to me this clearly shows a biased view, which is fine. But in the context of the team I just don't see enough progression.

I don't look at him and associate him with any pick, so you can't lay a blanket statement and say "everyone". That's a comp out.

I see him as a nothing more than another draft mistake by Hurney. That is not on him...his work ethic and him trying to get better in no way should be judged by Hurneys gaffe. Removing oneself from that situation you can see that he still might be one of the worst PR men in the league. Everyone wants blames the Panthers having poor special teams as a reason for Armanti struggling....well (just an fyi) he is on them and should be part of the blame. If he could create anything on his own no one here would hold him accountable.

i completely agree that we gave up waaaay too much for him. said it the second we took him. but everything else sounds like a conclusion drawn from looking at a stat sheet and not from watching the games. the proof is on tape.
