Crocodile steals your lawnmower (link)

A giant saltwater crocodile named Elvis with an apparent affinity for household machinery charged at an Australian reptile park worker Wednesday before stealing his lawn mower.

Tim Faulkner , operations manager at the Australian Reptile Park, north of Sydney, was one of three workers tending to the lawn in Elvis' enclosure when he heard reptile keeper Billy Collett yelp. Faulkner looked up to see the 16-foot (5-meter), 1,100-pound (500-kilogram) crocodile lunging out of its lagoon at Collett, who warded the creature off with his mower.

"Before we knew it, the croc had the mower above his head," Faulkner said. "He got his jaws around the top of the mower and picked it up and took it underwater with him." The workers quickly left the enclosure. Elvis, meanwhile, showed no signs of relinquishing his new toy and guarded it closely all morning.

      The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.

      I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.

      lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
