Where will Luck finally land

With all the intrigue about the top three teams all having QB's and the blustering by Polian about having no problem taking Luck, where do you think he ends up?

I think the draft order will be like this below for the top ten and I say Cleveland moves up with the two first rounders and takes him from St Louis. This means obviously that Indy wins this Sunday against Jacksonville. I think Holgrem has known all along that McCoy is nothing but a backup and will be again after this season. This also has Minny winning their last game against Chicago.

Here is my prediction for top ten picks in the draft

1. Cleveland (from St Louis) Andrew Luck

2. Indy Matt Kalil

3 Jacksonville Blackmon

4 St Louis Claiborne

5 Tampa Bay Kirpatrick

6 Minnesota Reiff

7 Washington RGIII

8 Miami Jonathon Martin

9 Carolina David DeCastro

10 Buffalo Malcolm Floyd

Tampa Bay and Carolina are in the worst shape of any two teams in the above scenario and both would sorely love a trade down. Both have needs that are not available with the personnel on the boards. Tampa reaches for Ronde's replacement, Carolina takes BPA and gets a guy who will be a pro bowler beside our pro bowl center.

Something tells me the Redskins and Bills may also be in play for Luck.

Well, the suspense is killing us. Who would that BPA be?

It really depends on how the combine goes, but as of right now. I'd say very few would be rated higher the DeCastro. Coples and Still at DT are rated similarly to DeCastro, but that's about it.

"yes, a lot of sites are starting to move Coples to DT. Which is what I thought his natural position was."

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
