Yes because that is relevant.

well if you really wanna play the "what if" game.. what if we dont trade him, we dont get Dre Kirkpatrick because of it, then the first game stewart blows his knee out and dre ends the year with 20 interceptions... so really....we can play the what if poo all day long, but its pointless.

What if you had the brains to know you don't trade a proven 24 year old RB for a second round pick? You're right it is pointless

why are we paying 2 running backs when our defense is horrible.. hellooo.. back to reality.. the Carolina panthers can pass the ball now!! ok.. lets trade him for a first round pick.. oh wait.. no one will do that.. 2nd round is all your gonna get outta him..and the benefit of not having to pay him..

btw.. nice signature..

Reality says you don't draft a player in the first round then trade him for a 2nd after he has proven himself. Reality says you don't trade the younger RB and keep the older one unless there is a big difference in talent.

You ask why we would pay two running backs when our defense is horrible yet seem to believe the Vikings would pay Stew with a worse defense than ours and AP having a $100 million deal. Reality says you didn't think this through at all

as i said... My whole thought process revolves around AP not playing next year.. if the vikings dont have AP then they are gonna need a replacement way worse than they need defensive players.. even teams with shitty defenses can win games if they can score. stewart may make a nice dent in the d line.. but he doesnt make big plays.. his numbers arent up there.. get rid of him while he still young and has value. what happens when he slows down even more in a couple years and no one wants him?

very true.. still need a corner though..

and also, lets not forget that AP sat out 3 games due to a injury earlier in the year.. cmon u guys know just as well as i do.. once you start getting hurt to the point you cant make games.. its downhill.. ill be very surprised if ap makes it back next season before week 8. and if he comes back i doubt he will perform at the current level.

    • By all indications, the surgery was "minor." I know with all surgeries and especially back surgery there can be complications, but I think the whole time Tremble did this with the expectation he would be able to be back for Week 1 It sounds like he will be ready to start back in team drills next week. He's a veteran who knows the system so I'm sure that helps. I still can't imagine he will play a normal workload early on though
    • Maybe. He was pretty good in college before a bad injury. He had a good preseason last year as a UDFA in Washington and was on their practice squad all year so they obviously saw something worth developing. He signed a futures deal with the Panthers earlier this year, and everything about him has been increasingly positive. Tremayne has gotten a decent amount of time with the ones, and a lot with the twos for someone that doesn't have a chance. He's the only other 6'4" plus WR on the team, plays ST, and is a more natural backup to the X receiver position than David Moore. That was my thinking behind it. But he may well end up as one of the last roster cuts. If so, I do hope they can bring him back to the PS. But I personally think there's a good chance he could be claimed given his ST ability and what hes shown at WR.
    • That was my thought originally, but so many of the beat writers have mentioned keeping 7 WRs in conversations that I went with that, at least for the purposes of this projection. But you're right that historically defensive guys who were standouts at ST have tradionally gotten those last spots
