Sitting in my office.

I hear the following..

Panthers weren't supposed to have a MNF game, but the NFL changed it and gave them the Tampa game. or some such...

THEN!

They are so good now the NFL want's to show them as much as possible, so they moved the Denver game to 4, more people watch the 4 game.

THEN!

That nfl schedule move thing ...ya...they did that, so they will have another MNF game. Could have miss-understood

I will have to go help them out in a sec.

Great dude talkin about it, just not as diehard as I would prefer

I usually keep my mouth shut - unless it's a man doing the talking. Then I relish putting them in their place. On this board, I don't do as much football talking as I did when I first joined because I've made too many friends on the board and prefer to keep up with them. So I mainly read.

That is not the case at home and I tend to pound the men in the ground. It's fun.

Yes, like the dumbass that works in my office that came in on Wednesday morning holding the sports page that said "Smash and Dash" on the front page and says... "hey, did you hear they're calling the Panthers running backs Smash and Dash?"

My response, "only about a million times..." and he walked away with his head down. Trust me, he deserves it.

I can only imagine.

% wise they have more undereducated fans than we do I would think.

80% of them see star and follow it like a moth follows a light

There is a simple way to find out if you have a good, knowledgeable Cowboy fan or the majority.

Ask their opinion on two people. Jerry Jones and Tom Landry.

If they say "Say what you will about Jones, but he gets the talent!" you've got your typical dumbass.

If they say anything like "fug Jerry Jones" or "Jerry Jones is a mouth breathing mongoloid" you've probably got a good one.

If they say "I'll never forgive Jones for what he did to Landry and I can barely watch the team now" you've got someone you can sit down and talk ball with.

This happens all the time at my work. I had one of my coworkers that watched the SD game with me(our first game watched together). I had no idea how he would act.

--- he left when we lost the lead in the 4th and dismissed our season.

LMAO

needless to say I think he is bad luck now and will refuse to watch a game with him. Atleast I have an excuse now.

    • Yeah. Probably will be close. I am not rooting for anyone don’t really care that much.   Same for the AFC game, don’t really care. Except it is Sean Payton, I always like it when he loses.  But it’s New England, I can’t root for them. It’s going to be 23 degrees at kickoff in Denver, wind will 12-15mph, dropping to 13 degrees by 7pm with snow predicted to start before halftime.
    • Most people will agree with this in principle. But it's situational and also depends on the results you're getting. We were middle of the league in sacks given up. Had the 27th passing offense. And if a few instances that went our way turned out differently we very likely could have been staring at another 5 win season. For the highest salary cap percentage to the OL in the entire league. While we had basically nothing at linebacker and not much at all consistent pass rush to speak of as we were leaning on two rookies. And despite all that our defense which has been on a lopsided end of investment compared to the offense managed to go from league worst and giving up historic single season points in 2024 to middle of the league in 2025 which is quite impressive all things considered. So yes the investment in the OL versus the results certainly matters or at least to should to anyone that would like to continue to improve and also maybe finally win another playoff game.
    • Still think that if Carson Beck is there on Day 3 you have to take him. QB depth in drafts has been atrocious as of late but what he is good at translates very well to what the Panthers need a QB to do.
