I still believe he is a top 10 pick and I wouldn't mind the Panthers taking him. I just want the Panthers to take the best prospect at 8 or 9. Like I said you will come up with an idea on who we might take by April. I still see Devon Still in the Running also David Decastro,Johnthan Martin and now even Courtney Upshaw.

Alabama was so scared to throw to Claiborne's side, once AJ McCarron found out where he was lining up, he did not look once to that side of the field after the ball was snapped. Kirkpatrick on the other hand was tested at least twice. Considering this draft is crawling with cornerback talent, it would be a major reach to grab Kirkpatrick. He's the most physical corner in this draft (and has a little speed to go with it). Yet I see him getting burnt routinely by experienced and fast receivers. As a South Carolina fan, we all know what Alshon did to Kirkpatrick last year.

Let's draft in another need area, and pick up a corner in the second round. With all that said, having two good corners will definitely go a long way. Look at this highlight vid of Leon Hall and Jonathan Joseph, when they were teammates.

Kirkpatrick was tested two times deep down the field. Robert Lester bailed him out the first time because the receiver got behind Kirkpatrick. The next time the WR caught the deep pass against him. Again, Kirkpartick is physical, but he's not the greatest cover corner. Some of you guys are saying we should draft him and make him a safety. No, I hope Hurney and management have washed their hands of drafting guys to play another position.

Dude got behind him because they were playing zone, Dre had the flat. He didn't get bailed out he played his zone. Same in the second one, WR sat down between the zones.

He can't follow a WR upfield in zone when he's got underneath cvg. Come on people, this is defense 101.

i didn't get to watch the game last night and i haven't watched a lot of tape on kirkpatrick, but one of the criticisms i've heard of him is that while he's physical and strong playing in a zone, he's weak in man coverage.

anyone seeing that in his play?

Really couldn't take anything away from this game because the LSU QB was just that bad. He's a top ten talent for a reason though.
