Gotta question about the combine this week

Hey guys, I have never been so involved in trying to scout what players I would like to have on the panthers. Knowing that it makes no difference what I think anyways. I stil enjoy doing this. So I'm wondering what the combine is going ti be. I've watched before but not really paid a lot of attention. Are the top prospects scheduled to workout and do drills first or what. For instance I wanna see blackmon and other wr's run the 40. Is that scheduled or do they just Wing it. Basically how will I know when the players I wanna see start their drills and whatnot?

the breakdown:

http://www.mockingthedraft.com/2012/2/22/2816447/2012-nfl-combine-begins-today

The 2012 NFL Scouting Combine begins today in Indianapolis with offensive linemen, tight ends and special teamers checking in for registration and medical checks. It's the start of six days of poking, prodding and questioning from both teams and the media. (Full schedule here)

Drills don't start until Saturday and begin airing at 9 a.m. on NFL Network. (Full NFL Network schedule here, work out breakdown here) But before those drills start, there will be plenty going on. The first group of players (OL, ST, TE) will meet with the media on Thursday.

.

Group 1 (Special Teams, Offensive Linemen), Group 2 (Offensive Linemen), Group 3 (Tight Ends)

Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - Travel to Indianapolis, Registration, Hospital Pre-Exam & X-rays, Orientation, Interviews

Thursday, February 23, 2012 - Measurements, Medical Examinations, Media, Psychological Testing, Interviews

Friday, February 24, 2012 - NFLPA Meeting, Psychological Testing, PK/ST Workout, Interviews

Saturday, February 25, 2012 - Workout (timing, stations, skill drills), Departure from Indianapolis

the rest of the positions are in different groups as well.

Group 4 (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers), Group 5 (Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers), Group 6 (Running Backs)

Group 7 (Defensive Linemen), Group 8 (Defensive Linemen), Group 9 (Linebackers)

Group 10 (Defensive Backs), Group 11 (Defensive Backs)

and they all go through pretty much the same thing as that first group does, just on different days.

each of the position groups will cycle/rotate through each of the drills.

What is the "psychological testing?" I don't remember hearing that, but I am on chemo, so a bit foggy.
that would be the wonderlic.

it's not just an intelligence test.

Wonderlic Personnel Test (WPT) claims to measure your general intelligence. However, in fact, it measures your verbal, numerical and spatial capabilities. This highly culture based test is one of the most widely used psychological instruments all over the world. It attempts to screen the candidates for certain jobs within the shortest possible time. It may be termed as a quick IQ test.

Focusing Areas of Wonderlic Personnel Test

The Wonderlic Personnel IQ Test focuses upon your verbal, numerical and spatial capabilities. However, the questions may take different angles depending upon the ‘intelligence’ of the question setters.

Verbal IQ test

The verbal testing may contain questions of following types:

1- You may be given certain words and be required to compare each of them to make a definite right choice from the multiple choice answers.

2- You may find some disarranged sentences and be required to arrange them to find out a logical solution.

3- You may be asked to identify parallelism in sentences.

4- You may even find some story demanding your critical reasoning to find out the correct answer.

Math IQ Test

The numerical intelligence testing focuses upon your basic mathematical skills. The questions may be structured as:

1- You may find certain questions with decimals, fractions and other mathematical concepts.

2- You may be given a numerical series with certain pattern. You may be required to find out the next option following the given pattern.

3- You may find some numbers and be asked to compare them.

Spatial IQ Test

The spatial ability test portion focuses upon your imagination, visualization and knowledge of basic geometrical concepts. The questions may be structured in a number of ways including:

1- You may be asked to follow certain directions and reach to the right destination imaginatively.

2- You may be required to analyze some geometrical shapes to find out the required answer.

    • An odd little vibe I've noticed here of late: some folks are "all or nothing" to an absolutely extreme level when it comes to Bryce. There are, in fact, things Bryce does well. Likewise, there are areas in which he's improved over his time here. He has, on several occasions now, legitimately helped us win games. On the flipside, there have been failures in other areas as well as coaching that we're not in any way his fault.  And finally , it is also genuinely possible that the team may see him as the future, even if we don't. The craziest part, though? It's actually possible that they're right and we're wrong. All of this is true, and more, yet if you accept any of these premises people go from zero to apesh-t in under three seconds 😳 Anything less than total disavowal of Bryce and / or agreement that he's the worst QB of all time and suddenly you're a "stan". Oy 🙄 The reality though?  Bryce is indeed an NFL quarterback. Not a great one, probably backup level good, and I've seen way worse. Now, if you run that statement through your personal Google translator and it comes back with some version of "I want to throw 50 million a year at Bryce for the next 10 years", that's not really my issue it's yours  I don't wanna make him the franchise quarterback, but it's not my call. Win or lose, the team is going to do what they think is best. And as always, if it disagrees with what I think we should do, I'm gonna hope I'm the one who's wrong. Internet clout means nothing. Watching my favorite team win at my favorite sport meas fun 😁
    • I like Icky but he was the wrong tackle to take. Learning run blocking is much easier than learning pass blocking. Cross was pass pro ready. He was the tackle we should have taken without hesitation.
    • Never saw this angle of the Tyson fight either lol.
