Am I the only one that doesn't see what the big deal is about this whole Bounty thing? The whole thing seems pretty silly to me especially with the amount of money that was involved. It's not like it was a real incentive. Sh*t has been going on for years. Back when Buddy Ryan did it in 1989 it was damn near applauded by the media, coaches, players, and fans....now everyone is so p*ssy hurt by it. I just don't get it.

Im ok with bounties for stats like sacks, big hits, ints and all. But are you guys saying you are ok with bounties to injure players or get them out of the game? Im sure if you were a player that got injured because of this and couldn't play anymore you would be singing a different toon.

not saying I am ok with it Salty...I'm just saying I'm pretty sure it happens everywhere...maybe just between groups, or buddies or whatever.

I just think all teams do it....what's the difference between that and going after the injured ankle of a player to get him out of a game? All players do that and it's accepted. That's why teams will tape up both ankles of a player to try and mask which is the injured one.

I know times have changed and with player safety such a hot topic something has to be done. No argument there but...

I guess just reading some of the threads around here and the unhealthy obsession a handful of people have with it (and all things Saints I guess) makes it seem like it is the biggest scandal in NFL history. I haven't been watching much Sportscenter in the last month or two so all I have to go on is what I see here but it is almost as if Gregg Williams and Co. nailed Christ back to the cross. (My apologizes to those offended by my distasteful reference).

    • One thing about it, he's not thinking about retiring. I found it odd that some Huddlers were taking rumors and running with them, imagining a slow down and "up-playing" injuries. Moton feels great and is still in his prime according to him, and his game is still indicative of his thoughts.  Sure, it may ultimately come down to economics, but I am sure that everyone involved is motivated to keep him in Charlotte.
    • I think the knee stuff with Moton has been blown way out of proportion. The exact quote was “It’s chronic stuff. Most linemen deal with it. But it’s just figuring out what we can do to make sure it’s limited and I’m still able to explode off it, which right now I can and I feel like I can in the future,” After a while, you start learning more about it and what can we do to make sure it’s as little of an issue as possible. I feel like I’m moving like I was when I was younger.” I don't view that as a guy who's saying his knees are on their last leg I see that as a 10-year NFL olineman saying that obviously after 10 years of playing a really physical sport, he's never truly gonna be 100% healthy again and he's gonna need to spend more time with the training staff to ensure his body can continue to perform at a high level. I think Moton has another 3 to 5 years left if he wants to continue playing.
    • So much crying. Tiresome. All of you should have had enough time to come to terms with the team picking up his 5th year...
