Bob Hope Christmas with the Troops

I knew he was a great supporter of the troops overseas, but I guess I never really saw the footage. This really pulled at the heart-strings... it's a great video about a great man doing a great deed.

When his family asked where he wanted to be buried, he said "surprise me".

_{Bob Hope not only worked the troops from WWII to Korea to Vietnam. He also was THE best host the Oscars have ever had. Billy Crystal included. Hope hosted the Oscars something like 26 times! (Or as he called it, Passover!) (His joke.) He also found time to hit college campuses.}

I had the priviledge of seeing one of his shows live back in 1987. He did a tour of our ship, the Midway, and several others. He had Barbara Eden, Lee Greenwood and Miss America with him. Barbara Eden had not aged well. :)
