Peyton Is Going To Denver

I don't think The Golden Calf of Bristol was a bust. Thought he did well and lead his team to the playoffs and even won a game. I would like to see him stay in Denver and learn from one of the best ever. It would be good for him in the long run. Say what you will about him but The Golden Calf of Bristol is a gamer.

Give me a break. He is a bust with a capital "B". I'm so sick of the "gamer" bulls***. Of course he's a gamer, he had a stellar collegiate career. So what, every single player in the NFL is a gamer.

A fan base that could not accept The Golden Calf of Bristol was overrated does not deserve Peyton.

John Fox does not deserve Peyton.

Truer words have never been spoken. But this move could go very badly and blow up in Elway's face. It's a dream for fox, he can go back to dives and draw plays and let a superstar bail him out.

Worst part of this is that if/when Manning makes them legit contenders, Fox will be considered a good coach. And that's just not true.

 Really!! Peyton will make them instant contenders. I know Manning is one of the best ever and will be in the HOF one day. But people got to remember. Manning is 35 yrs. old and coming off of 3 neck surgries and having to learn a new playbook aswell. But the 2 things most going agaist Manning is his age and neck. If Manning should get hit in that neck. If could be his career. Also people got to remember Manning ain't been on the field in a live game for over a year aswell. There is no telling how Manning will do and react in his new home. But who knows. But instant SB contenders Broncos are not.

It was disappointment that you still post.

I can't be disappointed on the Colts drafting Luck. I had pretty much resigned myself all last year that Peyton was done in Indy.

With Luck's first season in Indy, new HC, new GM, just about everything else about the team new. I'll be happy with 7-9 or 8-8.

I'd had gone with the GM out of Canada, but Jimmy Irsay didn't consult me.

Given the recent history between the Panthers and the Card, I figured that Carolina fans were dancing an Irish Jig he didn't sign with them.

Panther Fans react to the news that they don't have to face The Cards with Peyton!

    • There are several posters that only post negative at all times.   8 wins is a big jump from 5 and we still have 2 games.  Jaguars have a much more talented roster than us and have underachieved for years.
    • All of this noise is just setting us up to lose Week 18 and proclaim life's not fair. If there's one thing I know in my 30+ years of watching the Hornets and Panthers, is that the bad guy always wins in the end. A team can be falling apart internally but we will still lose to them. A team's fanbase can be extra shitty and cocky and they will just win anyway. It always happens
    • Well even if we took diverging paths getting there...our overall assessment of Shough is the same (bolded) lol so I guess that's what matters.  What you call "playing at a level that looks like a veteran starter" is the same thing I'm referencing when I talk about his poise.  Although I still wonder how truly "bad" of a team the Saints are.  Their defense is middle-of-the-road, and their offense does have some good pieces (Olave, Juwan Johnson) outside of running back which is the position most everyone agrees is relatively plug-and-play.  I'm not going to pretend to know anything about the majority of NFL team's o-lines lol but I'm assuming Saints are not great there, although Shough's pressure % seems to have been quite low (and steadily improving) over the last four weeks (20 -> 16.7 -> 15.0 -> 13.0) so maybe they've been playing better as of late, or perhaps Shough himself deserves credit for that.   Some of the language I'm hearing about Shough, including talking about how he's way above league average in several categories, makes it sound like Shough is having a rookie season on par with like a CJ Stroud who established himself as basically a Top 5-10 QB his rookie season.  Maybe that's on me though, I don't mean to attribute anything to you that I'm sure you don't agree with.
