Brace Yourselves, Saints Fans (Merged Threads)

I just got back from New Orleans on the train. The place is a flood of tears. I talked to several Aints* fans (keeping it classy with them of course) and they admitted that they won't go back to supporting a losing team. I couldn't help but burst out laughing. What a pathetic fickle fanbase!!

lol

If Benson had any integrity, he would fire Payton and Loomis.

Was lurking over @ saints report last night, pure comedy... I'm hoping those retards really do file a lawsuit against the NFL so we can watch the NFL's lawyers wipe their ass with it.

The idiots that aren't talking about suing are talking about how this is all some sort of conspiracy against the saints, LOL!

Oh, and you know what else is funny? Remember how strongly Darren Sharper denied any of this was going on... well last night he was on Total Access and basically admitted it was going on, but says the only thing wrong about it was the fact that the coaches were involved... he should start posting over on saints report with the rest of the retards in his fanbase.

How sweet it will be when dictator Goodell has to award the Lomabardi to the Saints after the Super Bowl in New Orleans! Not only that but the Saints went 8-0 last year in the dome. Can't imagine how loud and crazy it will be this fall. Can't wait!

LOL, keep telling yourself that.

First you need to figure out how to beat inferior NFC West teams in the playoffs.

In the wake of the NFL's Bountygate sanctions yesterday, most notably the full season suspension of head coach Sean Payton, the Saints announced today that they've hired an interim coach from outside the organization to lead the team during the 2012 season. That man is unknown coach Shawn Slayton, whose entire background both on and off the field is a complete mystery.

Naturally, it was ESPN analyst Adam Schefter who had the scoop first and broke the story via his Twitter account:

Little is known about Slayton's background but sources within the Saints organization, speaking on grounds of anonymity, claim he's an offensive minded genius with a play calling prowess rivaling that of the man he's been hired to replace. Other than that and looking eerily alike, however, the two coaches are as different as their obvious facial hair preferences, acknowledged the source:

and no...this is not from the onion (even though it is satire lol)

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
