Any reason you say he will be good?

Yes because he has potential. Why did we draft hime in the first place? How could any of you could truly judge him off of last year? Its pretty ignorant. He sucked but our poo ass team would have made 95% of the QB's in the NFL look much worse then they really are. That coaching staff couldn't care less about developing them. They all knew they were gone before Jimmy even saw the field. Two rookie receivers with no double trouble. Cam is awesome but he had ALOT of help and support from various places. Jimmy had none. He was a ROOKIE

given the complete bafoonery that was the last coaching staff, the verdict is really still out on clausen.

you guys seriously don't think that if he, say, was signed by jacksonville or washington that there would be a qb competition before the season starts?

If Washington drafts RG3? No. Clausen wouldn't have a chance. He does not have the leadership or the mental tools to be a starter.

Every NFL player has potential. Doesn't mean they all will be good.

I haven't been one to dogpile the Fox era, but I have to ask.... what was the last QB that the Fox coaching staff actually coached up? Moreover, has there ever been a QB from the Fox era that got better during their stay with the Panthers during this time?

I shudder to think what would have happened to Cam under their "guidance".... is why I am consistently thankful that we picked up Chud et al to start the Rivera era.

      It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?

      I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.

      K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
