Anyone been following the Champions League? Real Madrid loss to Bayern Munich in the first leg but need only a 1-0 win at home to advance. Chelsea and Barcelona play today in London. Really hope to see Barcelona embarrass Chelsea and show how superior La Liga is.

72% possession for Barcelona and 18 more shot attempts but they failed to pick up an away goal and lost the first leg. Chelsea is in a better position than Bayern Munich is against Real Madrid but Munich played much better against Madrid than Chelsea did against Barca.

Next week will be interesting. Credit to Bayern and Chelsea for making it interesting but I still think Real Madrid and Barca will advance to the finals.

Interestingly enough Real Madrid and Barca have a very important matchup at Camp Nou on Saturday as both teams are still competing for the La Liga championship. Of course Chelsea and Bayern have already lost their leagues.

Barca's finishing was comical. They had a couple glorious chances, Alexis Sanchez should have finished that breakaway, Fabregas missed an open net, and I forget who missed the last chance in stoppage. Should make next weeks game interesting, hopefully Chelsea comes out pressing for that away goal

That was a crazy couple of games! Pretty shocking that Chelsea was able to win it, but you've got to give them credit for the effort. Considering the circumstances that is a massive upset, holding Barca to 2 goals over 2 games and doing just enough on offense.

Ramires' chip is one of the prettiest goals I've ever seen. Perfectly placed chip, taken with his first touch no less.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
