Now there's a vacation spot to take the family....

"There's parts in that room — the main room — where it's quite gut-wrenching," said Nancy Mettlach, a student conduct specialist at Ferris. "And the thought that was going through my mind was: 'How can one human being do this to another human being?'"

Great museum with a lot of American history people prefer to keep hidden. Jim Crow is still alive and kickin' in 2012.

Yes, putting this history in a museum with free admission is a great way to keep it hidden.

I hate to tell her. Human Beings have been enslaving other human beings as long as they have been able to walk upright.

Aesop: Scribe of Aesop Fables.

Moses: Parted the Red Sea and the 10 Commandments

Booker T Washington; (No not of Booker T and the MG's fame)

Several of the first 4-5 Roman Catholic Popes were enslaved slaves due to their religious beliefs

Geroge Washinton Carver: American scientist

Harriet Tubbman: Former slave and Vice-presidential candidate

Saint Patrick: We celebrate him ever March 17th

Many of the first followers of Jesus of Nazereth were enslved of their religion

Spartacus: I am Spartacus!

From the dawn of time through probably the 1600-1700. When 2 parties went to war, the victors would enslave the men and take the women and animals for themselves. (Women were thought of as chattel. (A moveable possesion.) Something that could be bought and sold.) Vikings, Romans (Who made a speticle of it.) Japanese, Chinese war lords, even the Native Americans practiced this. The English had endentured servants & slavery.

Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.
