Madden 13 Is Getting A New Broadcast Team

The thing I always hated about madden is when I would play and let's say I was on defense. If gamble intercepted it and ran it back fr a pick six. Gus Johnson and cris would always say something like " this Carolina panthers offense is scary and that play goes to show ya". Not their exact words but know what I mean. The game needs to be intelligent enough to k ow what's going on ad when to trigger the announcers and have them say correct terms and what not

idk if it's just me or carolina...probably just madden, but when i play the ball will be thrown right to my defender (gamble, beason, godfrey, etc.) and the easiest catch possible and they drop it. i could have 20000 picks a season is madden learned this is the nfl and anyone can catch the damn ball (minus Sherrod)

Madden sucks balls and has sucked balls for several years, getting increasingly worse. Until they do a major fix of the game, an overhaul; the game will continue to suck balls. The developers are lazy as can be. They should play NBA2k12 or MLB the show and try and learn to make a real sports game

NBA2k12 is terrible. Horrible AI that is either completely bugged and clueless or cheating and rubberbanding. Removed game modes, broken game modes (MyPlayer trade logic makes it near unplayable), constantly getting sucked into animations that you can't get out of (ever try running through the lane?).

Pointing to 2k Sports as an example of good sports games is idiotic. They're even worse than Madden.

All the video game reviewers seem to disagree with you. 2K makes a great basketball game and every year they out do themselves

I hate Madden because like everyone else on here said its just the same terrible game year after year but I will buy a copy if Cam is on the cover...don't even know if I'll open it, just keep it in my Panthers display case

Same thing here; if cam doesn't win I wont buy the game.

At least making it this far in the cover tourney they'll give him a custom face instead of generic like last year. The developers are just so lazy. How you not gonna have Mr. Swag himself's face in the game. #1 overall draft pick. Unreal.

lol you couldnt be more wrong. NBA2k12 is 10000x more quality than Madden and NFL 2k5 to this day is superior to Madden 12. 2k basketball games are so much better they literally knocked EA Sports out of the competition forever.

Tho I've heard MLB2k sucks. But who likes baseball anyway

Anyone is better than Collinsworth

The amount of pie you received is unreal... But HOLY poo. Me and my friends will play madden and everytime that man speaks, the amount of expletives that some out of that room are ungodly.

P.S. Is anyone tired of hearing "Steve Smith, out of Utah State" with a breath in between? Or "this offense can score on you in a hurry".

It infuriates me.

    • This 1000%.  Hey who wants to sign with the guy that couldn't even get his client the guaranteed contract of a 3rd round pick?  Lmao
    • I don't think it's any weird or unique clause, it's the offset language, same thing so many contract disputes are over. It just means that including it, if a player is cut and then signed by another team, the original team would be able to subtract how much they're getting paid by the new team from what they still owe him on their guaranteed money. For example, it's why Russell Wilson signed for the minimum last year with the Steelers as that was included in his Denver contract.  So if he signed with the Steelers for $1 million, he'd get $1 million less from the Broncos, if it was $2 million, he'd get $2 million less, basically he couldn't make any more money than he was already going to make, so you sign for the minimum to not take unnecessary cap room from your new team while giving extra cap room to your old one. The problem with trying to include it in rookie deals is that a team trying to include it, it says they think they don't really believe the player will make it 4 years with the team before they cut them.  And this usually comes up with one or two rookies in most seasons, the difference is it's usually handled much more quietly and not as public and ugly as this one. The other difference is that it's happening with the Bengals, which I believe I saw are one of the few (or only?) team that doesn't have protections for rookies in rookie and mini camps to be able to participate even if they haven't signed their contract yet.  The other teams have injury protections that allow them to still play, but the Bengals do not, which is also why this one is so public and ugly, as most the time this happens, the rookie is still participating in the rookie and subsequent mini camps, giving them more time to get the contract done before training camp when they'd then hold out.
