2Nd Round Best Players Available

To everyone saying we HAVE to take a corner at #40, I really don't think we should sleep on Brandon Hogan.

That being said, since we went with a bust-proof player in round one, I'd like us to take a chance in round 2.

1. Janoris Jenkins

2. Alshon Jeffrey

3. Lavonte David (Move him to SS)

1 - Upshaw - We upgrade the pass rush and get a guy who fits that hybrid end who can also play outside linebacker in a 3-4. Getting more pressure on the QB will help just as much as upgrading at corner. Dude is violent and nasty.

2 - Jenkins - Goes without saying that we need an upgrade at corner. Everyone says this guys is a top 15 talent. I do cringe when I think about him and Smitty going at it in training camp though.

3 - Worthy - Really shores us up at DT. He's my favorite but I'd also feel good about Still or Thompson.

4 - Glenn - Can play guard or tackle. Starter material.

There are a some other good guys that would be quality picks too.

CB - Johnson, Boykin, Robinson

DT - Still, Thompson

WR - Jeffery, Randle

OL - Silitulu, Adams

I would not be shocked to see Hurney trade next years one for an extra high 2nd round considering there is so much quality here and I fully expect (hope) to see us with a low first rounder next year. Hopefully, the 32nd pick.

I could see offensive tackle because that would likely be BPA, but they could go CB or DT and I wouldn't be surprised. It'll be one of those 3 positions.

If the Panthers come away with Kuechly, Janoris Jenkins and Vinny Curry/Devon Still, I'd probably make that trade.

I think the fact we played it safe in the first makes it more likely we take a chance in the second.
