Lots Of Guys Still Left

Recommended Posts

There is still value in this draft and many of the guys still waiting on a phone call can immediately make an impact on this team.

On the DLine, Cam Johnson, Jared Crick and Alameda Ta'amu are all available and could come in and compete if not win a starting position on this team.

In the secondary, Leonard Johnson, George Iloka and Brandon Boykin are still on the board.

On offense, Bobbie Massie is a 2nd round talent that would be a steal and solidify the line. Joe Adams is a darling of this forum and is still available as is Orson Charles and Ladarius Greene.

And don't forget the punter...

I would literally go apeshit if we select another Olineman, lol. I'm on board with the guy Silatolu, guy looks like a monster. But for Christ's sake, we've ignored our top two needs (DT, CB) long enough. Time to at least throw a later round project at the spots. I'm liking Chapman, Ta'amu, Cam Johnson at DE, Minnifield, Boykin or Cliff Harris. Add in Drew Butler and at least two from that group and call me a happy camper.

I know he has character concerns but does no one like Dennard as a value pick this late in the draft? Guy had second round value before last weekend right?

He was a 2nd rounder before the bowl games and combine. After he got abused by Jeffery and then started a fight with him at some bowl game his stock started dropping. After the combine he was a 3rd/4th. After whatever it was he did to the police officer last week he started going around the 5th or so in most mocks. I'd rather take a weed smoking fornicator like Jenkins or someone who likes to drive fast without a license like Cliff Harris than someone dumb enough to assault a police officer.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
