The draft "experts" and some of the fans of this board have a very myopic view concerning who to pick. If we had traded up to draft Pat White instead of Everette Brown many of the "experts" would be grading us with a B+ or an A and the hate Jakers would be falling all over themselves.

Sexy pick but it is so very stupid. 12-4 playoff, cap strapped team with no 1st round draft pick, depth problems and a possible franchise DE holdout uses a 2nd round pick (their 1st of the day) for a 2nd or 3rd string QB likely to never see the field for a year or three?

Sounds like a GM riding on the short bus to me. How F&*king stupid are these people (Rhetorical question...)

are you "sure" we will go far with a veteran one?

please tell us how the Panthers will do in the playoffs in 2010. I can't wait for the summer to end and next season to be over. I want to know now so since you are "sure", fill me in!

He never said that he was sure with a veteran. All he means is that grabbing a QB with a high spot is a considerable gamble and the chances that he'll fail are pretty high. No need to bust an artery.
